Among the places I've stayed, this one is definitely at the top in terms of hospitality. The room was thoughtfully detailed, the facility was very well-maintained, and the sea view were amazing. Special thanks to Milia and Maria for their efforts—we were very satisfied. I’ll recommend it to everyone visiting the island, and I hope to return if possible.

Our stay at Sofi Mar was simply wonderful. The apartment was spotless, comfortable, and located right on the seafront, with excellent access to the sea. Maria, our host, was amazing – extremely attentive to every detail and to all our needs, which made us feel truly welcome. Another great advantage is the nearby grocery store, just 5 minutes away on foot, run by a very kind shop assistant (also named Maria) and open until late in the evening. Restaurants are also within easy reach, about 10–15 minutes’ walk. The combination of the beautiful location, the convenience of nearby amenities, and Maria’s warm hospitality made our vacation unforgettable. We would love to come back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a perfect seaside getaway.

Maria’s hospitality and warmth are exceptional. The rooms are wonderful, and every detail is designed with exquisite thoughtfulness. From the moment I arrived, I felt at home. The viewing terraces, the tranquility, and the peaceful atmosphere make this place truly unique. Its proximity to the center, the crystal-clear sea, the cleanliness of the beach, and the overall comfort offer an outstanding experience in every respect. The crystal clarity and cleanliness of the sea, its shelter from the wind, the sunset view, and the fact that it is right in front of the hotel are fantastic. In addition, the nearby coves — including Tarti Beach — with their winding roads surrounded by olive trees, allow you to fully enjoy the beauty of being in nature.

This place was absolutely amazing. The location was fantastic only a short drive/walk to the city center, the room was beautiful and clean with all the facilities you could require, the host was excellent, very accommodating and super helpful. We will definitely stay here again.

There was absolutely nothing we didn't like about this property or our stay here. We will be back for sure.

Where to start!? Our stay in Lesvos was made absolutely seamless by our host, Maria. From check-in to check-out, she was incredibly responsive and helpful, always there when we needed advice or information. Upon arrival, we were greeted with locally baked fresh bread and a bag of delicious olives, which was just what we needed after a long journey and a late arrival. As a final touch, on the day we checked out, Maria offered us a ride to Mytilini since she was heading that way, saving us the hassle of arranging transport for our early morning ferry. The ride was filled with a wonderful conversation about life and our experiences, and it honestly felt like we had known her for years. Maria is such an amazing person, and you can tell how much effort she has put into making the place not only comfortable and visually appealing but also welcoming. Her warmth really embodied the kindness and friendliness we’ve come to associate with Greek hospitality. As for the accommodation itself, it’s truly a gem and absolutely worth every penny. If you’re looking to relax and treat yourself, I wholeheartedly recommend staying here. The bed is huge and incredibly comfy, and the view is breathtaking—watching the sunset over the sea was an unforgettable experience. The kitchen is well-equipped and spacious, and the bathroom is clean and charming. But perhaps our favorite feature of the property is the private beach, which is literally just down the stairs from the apartment. Some days, it felt like we had the entire beach to ourselves. There are sunbeds available both in the shade and sun, so you can choose your perfect spot. Being able to take a morning swim and then walk right back up for a shower and a relaxing afternoon is something truly special. I even picked up a snorkel at a local shop and had a fantastic time exploring the clear waters just in front of the property. We LOVED EVERYTHING! From aromatic lavender sachets for a good night's sleep to its beautiful beach, vibrant with sea life! The highlights of our stay were… 🇬🇷🏝️ Sofi Mar is located in Plomari. Everything Plomari offers (including a cosy atmosphere and excellent restaurants) is just a 10-minute walk away. It is perfectly located for swimming, sunsets and after-dinner walks. 🌊🐟 Sofi Mar is literally next to the sea, and you can hear the waves. Very therapeutic. We enjoy diving and snorkelling as a couple. When we snorkelled for the first time in Sofi Mar’s sea, we instantly realised that the marine life in the area was extremely vibrant. To compare, we tried at least 15 different locations (except Eressos and 2 bays) in Lesvos, and in all, we just saw a total of 3 fish 😝 But in Sofi Mar's sea, we saw hundreds of creatures; it was so so so much fun! 🪴🏛️ The design, architecture, and ambience of the rooms and common areas are bohemian, minimal and tasteful. It gives a strong sense that every object is carefully selected. And absolutely, Sofi Mar is better than the photos. 🛌💤 The beds and linens are incredibly comfy. We rested like we hadn’t for years. Thanks to Maria, especially for this one, because now that we have learnt the perfect bed brand, we want it in our home, too! (: ✨✨ It is one of the cleanest accommodations we have ever had. Spotless. All amenities and details were immaculate. 🤭 It was, surprisingly, also a very sensory experience! How? Because there are beautiful room scents, aromatherapy sachets, locally-produced olive oil-based toiletry (shampoo, soap, etc.). 🌞 Living life is beautiful at Sofi Mar. We got the chance to find availability only after someone made a last-minute cancellation. So, if it’s available, you are lucky. Go for it!

It is in the most beautiful setting - right on the water in beautiful Plomari. Maria is so welcoming and was happy to help out with any of our requests. The bed was incredibly comfy and the room was beautifully appointed. Our stay was magical and we can’t wait to come back!

Sofi Mar is the place where you can relax with the sound of waves and charge yourself🤩 The location of the property is wonderful. You can spend all day at the terrace with a wonderful view and relaxing sound of the waves.

Seafront location, spacious room with a lovely sea-facing balcony, impressive decoration, rich facilities and amazing staff. They provide daily housekeeping services. They also surprised us with an outstanding bucket of amenities for our honeymoon.

Exceptionally clean property, right on a beautiful beach. Beach is not very populated, which is great. When the weather is not too hot you can sleep with the sound of the waves. Exceptional host and housekeeping. We were welcome with ouzo, olives, olive oil and bread🙏Thank you Ms. Maria for running such a property. It is at a five minute walk from the beach to the mini market. In that area there are lots of restaurants. Make a note that there are stairs to the beach, but they are not difficult at all. We hope to come back to this peaceful, beautiful place.

Maria is very kind and helpful owner. Our room was big enough for 2 adults and 1 kid. The room was cleaned everyday and towels were changed. The beach is quite like private to us and the sea was amazing.

We had to deal with mosquitoes at night time.

The sea view was amazing. Sleeping to the wave sounds, too. The room had a minimalistic design but had everything you can need in a short stay. Newly furnished, very clean bathroom. Maira, the hostess, is a wonderful, thoughtful person. Would like to thank for everything ❤️

Getting a good parking spot could be a bit of a stress at night, but was eventually able to find one every time

Maria was the best host! The hotel is lovely. Missed having even a small Bfast on-site but the nespresso coffee machines in room made up for it.
