Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomA lovely home, with great amenities and everything needed to make us feel comfortable and welcome. There was fresh food and fruits prepared for our arrival and games to play on downtime. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well equipped and pool lovely for a dip. The outdoor bbq was an added bonus. The only downside we found was the water didn’t stay warm as one day we had rain, but luckily it was simple enough to just flip a switch as explained to us by Agis.

SingaporeThe living room is facing to the main road and therefore noisy if the windows are open, but ok with closed windows. There is only one bath/shower and it could be a problem with more (than 3) people. It could be chilly starting from late October as the heating is not enough.
Clean and spacious house with a swimming pool (although we didn't use it as it was already in November) as well as a BBQ area with stone oven. Good facilities and all necessary things are available, also in the kitchen. It should be very nice in the summer.

IrelandNothing, everything was perfect, for us, Sunrise Residence was the perfect villa for a relaxing holiday :)
Look no further for a relaxing peaceful holiday! Sunrise Residence is a spotlessly clean, spacious & homely accommodation, with everything you need to enjoy a vacation. Lovely pool with sunbeds, pool cleaned regularly by the host; perfectly working Air Con; Lots of outside seating areas; stunning mountain & sunset views, so peaceful in the evenings. Agis was the perfect host, welcoming but not at all intrusive. We arrived to a wonderful greeting of lots of the MOST TASTY fruit from his garden and lots of pastries & savoury treats as well as a beautiful big birthday cake & balloons for my 9yo sons birthday - it was delightful! Agis mom also made a traditional dinner for us one day, which was such a delicious treat. The villa is approx 5 minute drive to nearest village & approx 20 minutes to Rethymno & beaches. It has access to a basketball court that we could use even after sunset as it had lighting. 5 minute drive to a beautiful family restaurant called Petrokofino (MOMs Food) - highly recommend this place.

Netherlands- Some beds are a bit on hard side - Location is a bit distance from main tourist attraction (30 min driving required to the closest main attraction, e.g. preveli beach, rethymno) - In May, the water in the swiming pool is still very cold (can consider installing solar water heating)
The whole house is clean, cozy, spacious and comfortable. The owner Agis was so kind to provide all amenities including snacks, fruits, food for breakfast, drinks and delicious home made cake. Owner is very responsive to our question and provided very clear instruction for us checking in.

MaltaThis villa is great. Let's start with the garage - it has an automatic door that opens with a remote and your car will fit perfectly inside. The car is in the shade the whole day since the roof is a grape vine. When you enter the first door, on your left you will find a good sized very clean pool which was quite cold in october but I believe that it would be perfect in mid summer. Near the pool there are 4 sunbeds. On the right hand side there is the bbq and a table for you to enjoy your dinner. The host even left charcoal, fire starters and lighters.. you basically have everything. When you enter the villa's door you will find the living area which is huge and near the tv there is also several board games. On the table they alao left chocolates and biscuits. There are three bedrooms in the whole house ( 2 double rooms and 1 containing 2 single beds). All bedrooms have a door that leads to a large balcony with tables and chairs. From the balcony you will have a breathaking view .... I suggest watching the sunset from here. Regarding bathrooms there are 2 ... one if them is small with only a toilet and sink inside but the other one is quite large. In the large bathroom there is also a washing machine and the host also left several detergents for us to use. Then you will be lead into the full equipped kitchen where you can find everything you will need. The host left us honey, olive oil, wine, alcohol, water, eggs, cheese, ham, sandwich, juices, jam, butter, beer and also several yummy pastries and cake. Both the kitchen and the living room lead to a huge terrace with a swing, table and chairs and a view of the pool. In the middle of the week the host also brought us a home cooked meal which was great. 6 mins by car away you can find supermarkets and restaurants and if you driving into the direction of Spili on the right hand side you can find a bakery which sells the most delicious pastries. I highly recommend this villa ...

United KingdomPool a little chilly when getting in and short ladder makes it a little difficult to get out ( especially if you are short).
The hosts Agis, and family are excellent hosts. They treat you like family, on arrival you have an array of home cooked biscuits, pastries and homegrown fruit. There is milk, coffee, bread and water for you to start you off. During the stay we were treated to a fantastic home cooked meal made by Agis's mama, which was beautiful. The location is absolutely fantastic for visiting Rethimo, Plakias and Spili... all within a 20 minute drive and the fantastic beaches Crete has to offer. The villa is spotlessly clean and has everything you need for a home away from home. The wrap around balcony is a great feature meaning every door in the villa opens out on to a balcony and every door has a mosquito net. The hospitality is second to none! Agis and his family really make your stay enjoyable but without encroaching on your privacy. When they come to clean the pool, they often come bearing delicious local / homemade treats or fruits and vegetables from their garden! Even homemade wine! Agis and Antonia are only a call away if you need any help or recommendations and they are very quick to respond. If I had to nit pick about anything, the only thing I could say is that the pool is a bit chilly when you get in, however once you are in you you do acclimatise quite quickly. Overall an excellent 10/10 holiday which I would recommend to anyone.

Agis and his family are the perfect hosts and made our stay fantastic! The house is in a quieter part of the island but within 20 mins of a number of lovely beaches and the facilities are excellent; pool, air con, bbq and lots of choice of outdoor eating!
