Too much crowded pool, to be honest, something logical for high season. The kids club needs some improvement as seems to be somehow poor. The rooms are very modern while the lobby needs some updates!

Excellent value for money balance. The people there always with a smile an very friendly. Excellent cleaning service. New pool towels daily. A welcome treatment is waiting for you. Every day bottles of water, free.

The aircondition was so noisy and wasn't giving the cold air at all. Room dated, some many patches of paint, grout and silicone. Not a 4 star at all. I have stayed in so many places all over the world and I don't know if I would give 3 stars. Oily patches on lamp shades. Bathroom wasn't very clean. Couple of hairs and fifth paste marks on the door. Not good value for many. Not many Greek things for breakfast. Typical cheap ham, cheese, jam selection. Only lovely pancakes, honey and genuine tea geek I managed to find.

Quite large pool but overcrowded. All the sun beds taken all the time. People leave the towels and disappear for hours. Other pool not very pleasant. Lovely staff.

Booking said three people were booked but only two were when arrived. Odd thing is we had the big room with extra bed but my child was not on the reservation. We had to pay extra. Had to find parking around the location. Some days we parked a few streets away.

Great restaurant, bar , beautiful pool. Close to restaurants and beach. Two min drive to harbor.

The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The food was very good, especially the baklava which was excellent! The hotel is centrally situated with shops easily accessible and the beach a very short walk away.

The wifi wasn't bad (we were in the annexe) but in the evenings it became unavailable quite often, probably due to the numbers of people wanting to get on line. Sunbeds are reserved with towels from very early in the morning (some people were sunbathing by 8am) so you have to be an early bird if you want to start your day near the pool (although the annexe does have its own small pool that's partly indoor and by mid afternoon you'll probably find a few free sunbeds by the main pool). The entertainment sometimes went on later than 11pm and was, on occasion, so loud you wondered if your balcony door was shut (and we were behind the amplifiers and over a small road in the annexe). It didn't go on later than 11.30pm though. The beds were too firm; it was like lying on a board and didn't do my back any good at all. Tea and coffee facilities in the room would have been nice. Fresh juice at breakfast would have been preferred to the machine-made substitute as would more variety of fruit (fresh and not tinned peaches please!). A shower curtain along the bath rather than a glass door/splash guard felt a bit primitive for this day and age. Not as many clothes hangers as most people would like I suspect. Lack of English (or subtitled) tv programmes (there's only World News) was a little annoying. Balcony door double glazing could have provided more soundproofing (mostly from the entertainment!) although it was a quiet spot and general noise level overnight was low to non-existent so it's only a concern if you like early nights; entertainment may not be put on every night outside August. It is a residential area as well. Town centre was a good 20 minute walk. I didn't get to see any baby turtles emerging from several nests along the beach near the hotel as August onwards is turtle hatching season!

The breakfast choice was excellent, the room was spacious. The whole establishment was kept spotlessly clean, air conditioning was very efficient, the housekeeping was excellent. The staff were welcoming and helpful; when you arrive you are given a welcome drink and in your room a small bottle of alcohol (I think it was raki?) and nuts. Having a fridge in the room was a real bonus. There was a safe but in the end we didn't use it as, rightly or wrongly, we felt safe there. Crime rate is apparently fairly low in Crete. Balcony in our 3rd floor annexe room was large and had a mini washing rack to dry clothes and towels as well as 2 chairs and a table. The second door to the room's entrance corridor and bathroom provided a useful sound barrier to anyone going past along the outdoor passage to the other rooms or from the pool/hotel next door. Front door had a bell! The pool is quite large for the area, but it is literally a 5 minute walk from the beach as well where you can hire sunbeds or sit on your own beach towel in empty sections in between. There was entertainment every night for about 2-2.5 hours from 9pm. If you dislike the juice on offer at breakfast, several local shops sell freshly squeezed orange juice you can put in your fridge. Lots of very good restaurants within easy reach of hotel.

There were no Greek TV channels (which are free!) so it felt like the property does not welcome Greek tourists.
