Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomAn upgrade to some of the facilities would be welcomed. This doesn’t have to be done at the expense of it being a traditional home, but updates to the kitchen and perhaps as someone suggested, making this a 1-bedroom property so you could bring back a lounge/seating area. It was too hot to sit outside in the day, so we didn’t really have anywhere to go and ended up sitting in one of the bedrooms which wasn’t ideal.

United KingdomWe loved everything, if anything possibly a few more shelves in the kitchen for storage.
The owner was there ready to greet us when we arrived. We had a car park spot right outside the villa and offered Villa No5 which was absolutely perfect! The setting felt very safe for the children to play and swim in the pool which was immaculate. Plenty of sunbeds with some floats. The owener maintained both the pool and garden on a daily basis and gave us some local honey, wine & olive oil on arrival. The rooms had air con which we didn’t find disruptive to our sleep. We cooked dinner in the kitchen 6 out of 7 nights and used the BBQ too! We ate in the local restaurant a 2 minute walk away which was lovely. They hold live music on a Thursday night which you can also enjoy / hear from the villa. I would highly recommend the Villa to anyone, specially a family! Thank you for having us!

United KingdomNothing, only that we weren't there long enough!
Our host was amazing, always available if needed but not intrusive in any way. Helpful, thoughtful and kept the properties in beautiful condition, clean and fresh. Each villa had individual and unique views very peaceful location with plenty of shady areas and lovely gardens. The pool was beautiful with plenty of sun beds and parasols.

United StatesRoom darkening curtains in the bedrooms would be great. The mattresses are a little worn, but the bedding was comfortable.
We stayed at this villa for two weeks. The owner was more than helpful and checked in with us multiple times. We were even surprised with a homemade greek dish one of the nights made by his wife. The pool was delightful. The walk to the beach was easy if you are okay with steep elevations. We had a great time there and would return if given the chance.

United KingdomNothing really, everything was great for the length of stay we were there. I suppose if you were staying for longer you might like a proper oven and hob but for us the counter top hob was sufficient.
We had a hire car so the location was great for us as there was lots of things to do nearby and having the freedom to explore the island further afield was nice. Having a taverna within walking distance was a plus as we didn't have to drive every night when eating out. The pool was great and since we were sharing it with a limited number of others it was always very quiet -- almost like having your own private pool. Loads of stuff you might need for your holiday was readily available at the villas, e.g. beach umbrellas and mats etc. Nice beaches very near by. The cats on site were very friendly. :)

United KingdomKitchen area was probably a bit too small, but we didn't spend too much time there - quick food prep / use of kettle & fridge. We got used to it and it didn't distract from our enjoyment.
Fantastic view from the apartment. Right next to a lovely pool which was kept clean, and given there are only 5 apartments was never overrun with people, and so there were plenty of sun loungers, and mustn't forget the hammocks. 5 minute walk from a glorious 'hidden' beach (see photo) with crystal clear water, accessed via a little pathway. Friendly and helpful host. Perfect location from which to explore the island, and only a 20 min drive to Argostoli.

United KingdomNothing, it was all good.
The location was great, quiet, with two local restaurants within walking distance. An amazing little beach, also within walking distance, which was clean and great for snorkelling. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for the week. The host was so helpful and friendly and let us stay and use the pool the day we checked out as we had a late flight. The pool and pool area, again, was clean and well kept, a lovely place to relax and cool off. Thermanti Villas was a great place to be based to see the Island by car and Kefalonia is a really lovely destination, I’d highly recommend.

United KingdomLovely tranquil location with beautiful views. We all loved relaxing in our villa’s hammock under the olive tree with a stunning view. The pool was lovely - nice and warm and comfortable, very clean and we often had it to ourselves, or only had to share with one other family at a time. It was shallow enough at one end for my 5 year old to touch the floor, though the other end was too deep even for the adults to touch the floor. Great selection of floats and pool toys as well as a slide which the children enjoyed. The villas were more spaced out than I expected which was nice as it felt private. Our Villa felt very authentic Greece, small and basic which we expected and didn’t mind at all. We found our beds comfortable and we had everything we needed to be able to cook breakfast, lunch and even some dinners, with plenty of kitchen roll, washing up liquid and sponges - I needn’t have packed my own. It was spotlessly clean but we did get some insect visitors which didn’t bother us, just the nature of being in a garden setting and having doors / windows open. It was a 25 minute trek up hill to the village shop (which was small but had everything I needed), however I noticed later on our fridge magnet that Marina’s mini market does free delivery - I would definitely use that next time! The little cove beach nearest the villas was beautiful and peaceful. The sea was so calm, clear, shallow and we saw little fishes. The main Spartia beach near Panas Hotel was much busier. Isalos is the closest taverna, probably only a 5-10min walk. It only opens from 5pm but sells amazing ice cream! We liked the Panas restaurant but found the longer walk less appealing in the July heat with 2 kids in tow. We hired a car for 2 days which was nice to see more of the island and stock up on supplies at Lidl 15 minutes’ drive away. The roads are very bendy and narrow though - wouldn’t recommend if you suffer from motion sickness!

RomaniaI loved it in Thermanti! Was clean, well equipped and had peace and quiet, had intimacy (stayed in wonderful villa no. 3), close to the beach, shadow from the olives in the garden, truly wonderful! The beach is only a 5 min walk away and is perfect for kids also, transparent and shallow on entrance. The owner was a joy to talk to and super helpful! The whole complex was in bloom (eo June), very well taken care of and same for the villas, was a delight to stay there!

AustraliaIt's a little bit out of the way down some narrow greek roads through the village of Spartia.
Loved being able to have a family holiday with all of us together. Daughters, sons-in-law & grandchildren from Western Australia & grandparents from the UK. We booked 3 villas so we could all be in the same place.
