Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SwedenThe bed had a velvet headboard which was really quite old and smelled old.
The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The garden is lovely and the entire setting boasts a lot of history. The place is a bit far up but the hosts transport the luggage with an ATV.

ItalyWonderful location, just below the mountain. Fresh and under the shade all the time. Room big and traditional fornitures. Great breakfast. I booked for one night and then extended for a other one with the owner. Everything perfect. The hike to the mountain starts from this village.

GreeceThe breakfast was made on the spot for us when we woke up and it was served in a very cozy common living room. The hostess was very kind and made us toasts and eggs, accompanied with fresh juice and coffee/tea. If the weather allows it you can also enjoy the backyard with an amazing view of the mountains.

United StatesThere was no internet. I was able to connect to the WIFI, but it would say "No Internet connection." Fortunately, the mobile connection (on T-Mobile) was high-speed.
Location, hospitality, view, local cats. We were met by the host who helped us to bring our luggage with his ATV. The room is clean and good, but it's in the mountains so do not expect the comfort level that you will find in the seashore: the room is not very big and, at night, we used provided warm blankets with our warm sleeping wear.

IsraelKaraouli was as wonderful on this stay just as it was on the previous one... a real haven, and especially on those hot days I spent at Micro Papigo: when I came up the winding road to the Papigos, the car thermometer showed a temperature I will not even quote, but which was certainly very high; however, once inside my lovely room at Karaouli's it was so nice and cool - amazingly, you don't even feel the need for airconditioning: the thick stone walls, with one deep window looking out on a green slope, give out a natural and reviving coolness which is much more pleasant. There was another lovely addition - Micro Athena, Giorgios & Athena's granddaughter - one is family, at Karaouli. So I shall simply copy here the review I wrote the previous time - it's a place to come to time and again: Karaouli is one of a kind. A place can be made so only by the confluence of special attention, really good taste and natural circumstances. The original stone house has been wonderfully restored, intruducing comfort without lessening the original feel of the rooms. The furniture is beautiful and the woven cloth decorations add colour. I loved my room with its large deep windows looking over the roof to slopes and trees, it's a room you feel you belong to and sleep well in. Athina is a wonderful hostess and so is her breakfast. George very kindly picked me up from the parking in his quad and took me back there. It's a perfect place to set out from to explore the surroundings, whether you go in for longer hikes or just a few minutes' walk - if you just walk down to the village, the view over Papingo and the mountains is breathtaking, and so it is when you set out in every other direction. I loved every minute, was sorry to go, and have every intention of coming back. And I did! And hope to come back yet again.

Hungaryvery authentic. host is very helpful, wanted to carry up my luggage from the parking lot. but i refused. he was also helpful with my special request. breakfast okay. the rooms are actually on the top of the village, so it is not recommended for elderly people. the last parking place is somewhere near the church. from there you have to walk upwards. but this makes the whole thing authentic. for me it was okay!

United StatesOur stay was perfect! The rooms were very comfortable and clean, very spacious and all 3 of them had a kitchenette which was very convenient. There was no need for air conditioning as the temperature in the rooms was very cool, especially at night (even though it was the first week of July). Our hosts were very hospitable and friendly. They served homemade traditional breakfast every morning. The patio was clean and comfortable with a nice view. The house is built and decorated in a traditional style and added to the overall experience. We parked at the entrance of the village on the street as no cars can go in the village, and our host met us to pick up our luggage and transfer it to the hotel. Great location for hiking and to explore the surrounding villages and the Vikos canyon. The views from the village are stunning. We loved our stay and will try to come back!

The village had a great Taverna with nice traditional food. Our accommadation had a king bed and plenty of room. Our stay was first class, cant wait to go back for a longer stay.
