How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Verified reviewBeautiful aesthetics of the house and the surroundings, with really nice view and a quiet location . 2 bathrooms and overall size of bedrooms. Air conditioning in all rooms. Reasonable price! Easy to reach both port and the chora! Next to the place is also a trail located that can easily do early in the morning or before sunset!
A few minor details would add to the whole experience e.g. kitchen paper roll, salt and pepper, couple of water bottles. The cushions of the sofa should be cleaner and maybe a better mopping of the house before us arriving! We had a quite weird first experience/meeting with the host/founder of the villas. He mistook us for burglars and was to shouting to us, luckily the misunderstanding was solved quickly and we had a really nice talk with the person!

Verified reviewIt was great, because there was someone to welcome us and show us around. We booked very last minute (on the day), so it was super helpful and quite fast in helping us out and accommodating us to their property. The house accommodated all our needs and is very close to the old village.
The room/ house did not had a great view, but honestly we booked last minute so I didn't mind at the end.

Verified reviewExcelent location for a holiday with the family. The villa complex is like a mini resort, each villa has its own terrace where we spent our evenings in the cool breeze.
I almost gave this property a perfect 10, but there were a few things that made our stay less comfortable. One issue was the noisy water pump in the back of the house that would go off every time someone used the water, the loud noise can wake you up in the middle of the night. It would be a good idea to replace it with a quieter one. Somedays, there wasn't enough hot water for everyone in the complex to take a shower. Overall, we really had a good time and I would definitely come back despite these shortcomings.

Verified reviewNr 1 Very friendly and helpfull owner. Its a few villas next to eachother. You have alot privacy. Its between Chora and Patitiri. Beautifull view, quiet area. I stayed in the studio, it was huge indoor but also big private outdoor. If you dont mind a walk and its a 15-20min(Patitiri) or 10 min walk to Chora. I loved it to be staying out in the countryside but restaurants or shops nearby. You need to be fit to walk the area because its up and down hill and not a easy path. To explore Alonissos you need car or scooter.
Nothing.Had a wonderful stay and would definately book again.

Verified reviewLiterally, when we arrived our expression was simply "WOW". We didn't expect to find such an apartment all for us. So big inside, so cute the external area and the big patio, with amazing view to the sea and to the old town!!! Amazing place and amazing experience! Thanks Vasiolios and congratulation for your beautiful place!!!
I suppose that the wc was not perfectly fixed, cause it loses some water each time we used it. But we didn't say anything cause it was not a big problem actually. Just a suggestion to Vasilios in order to check it! ;)
