Great summer place when not too windy!
    • Leisure trip
    • Family with young children
    • Standard Triple Room with Garden View
    • Stayed 3 nights

The rooms could do with a renovation, plus lack of sound proofing was an issue as you could hear everything that went on in neighbouring rooms. Nevertheless, since most time in the summer is spent outdoors not so much of a problem. Also, wi fi signal was poor outside the main reception area.

Breakfast was delicious and the pool was amazing and clean. The garden was great for kids to explore and there was also a beach volley net and two table tennis tables. Walking distance to town and free shuttle bus also available.

The hotel might want to put a €5 fee for food waste.Having a buffet,it's very easy to see people filling up their plates and their children's,more than needed.

The location of this property is absolutely amazing. You have a beautiful pool and the clear water of the sea at your door step. Rooms with AC,TV,wardrobe and balcony with mini fridge to keep fresh drinks and fruit if you wish. Equipped sand/stones beach for kids and adults. Management and staff are absolutely amazing, smiling, friendly and organised, they really take care of their guests with a warm greek welcome atmosphere. You can arrange excursions or rent a car or simply walk to Nea Styra if you're looking for a typical greek cantine or a bit of music, all assisted by the hotel. Food is great, continental selection for everyone and very well prepared. Every Tuesday you'll have greek night with local food and live music. This is a secret paradise spot of Greece!

Hotel is nice but need renovation AFAP. Like the personel, very friendly people, owner never sleep ( haha very busy man, but friendly old man). Food, well nothing special, salads are lovely but not big choice of dishes. If you decide to go to that hotel you must .... but must have car if you wan't to go and visit other places cus there is no transport there except taxi ( very expensive).

    Fit for families or elders

3-pax rooms are really small. We knew about this, yet we asked for an extra-bed. Thank God they were 'empty' below so we can squeeze our stuff under the beds. However, 2-pax rooms on the ground floor are bigger and fit really well for disabled people. Not all staff could speak English. Quite difficult to get there. First, you may want to take the ferry from Athens, otherwise you'll have to drive 200km. Second, not all sat-navs have detailed maps of the area and the hotel may not be reachable (use Google maps).

Hotel seems to target mainly families with kids for the weekend and elder groups. Breakfast was OK. There weren't many choices with little variance, but it was tasty. Coffee could have been better. Tavern was OKish. Not all staff was able to speak English and there is a danger of mixing orders. However, there are some really good taverns 2-5 km, in the village. You can get there by car or by foot (20-30 mins walking on the beach). Bar is full, beer is cold and good ice-cream. I highly recommend to go to village around 8-9pm. Rooms (and the hotel, in general) were clean, neat. However, there were few things which could have been fixed in few minutes, yet, they were not (shower support). View from the room is fantastic. Beats all other shortcomings. Pool is full with salt water, 10m away from the beach. View is also beautiful. The beach in front of the hotel is usable, but it has a lot of rocks. However, there is a public beach (with free sun-chairs and umbrella provided by the hotel?) 50m from the entrance where there is fine sand and nice water. Beware, there might be a lot of people during the weekend there. There is also a small playground fit mainly for 3-5 years. Massage (paid) is also available. Overall, we had an awesome holiday.

Poor beach. We use other beaches 8-12 km away. The food in the hotel Taverna is awful: greek salad was made from veggies that were left from breakfast. The breakfast itself was normal. The hotel is very popular among people of 60-80 years old. Almost 90%.

    Comfortable rooms, cleaning is good.

Bad value for money. The hotel is rather a 2-star establishment, but the room I stayed in cost the equivalent of a 3-star or 4-star. One example of misrepresentation: the description of the Superior Double with Sea View in booking.com mentioned a hot tub. Instead, the room was equipped with a very small hydro-massage shower cabin, which was clogged to boot.

    The view from the balcony.

    Not applicable.

The apartment was lovely with a picturesque view across the water. The staff were all very attentive and polite. The facilities were good although a little dated in places. The pool is salt water for info. The beach is nice but not spectacular. The food is also good but not amazing. We ate in the local town most evenings at Sunday boutique hotel, very good. The hotel will pick you up from the ferry and also run a shuttle bus into town. The main thing I enjoyed about this holiday was how relaxing it was. The price was very reasonable for what it is.

Great convenience, bar, restaurant, pool, beach. Privacy in very clean bungalows. Staff was ever so friendly. Also options for pick up from port, rent a bicycle / scooter although we couldn't use. Restaurant good value for money, decent but nothing amazing. Overall highly recommended

On the other hand, I've got to tell about the service at the restaurant..not so the behaviour of the waitress, but some "innocent" mistakes regarding the receipt, made us not to eat there again. Furthermore, the coffee house needs a lot of practising to coffees, nevertheless they charge quite expensive a take-away coffee. Finally, I'll stop describing saying only that the breakfast is quit good with a sattisfied buffet.

Being there for a 3-days trip has prooved to be an excellent choice! The place -2klm away the port- has all the comforts a modern man needs, starting from the swimming pool which fills with salted sea-water! Amazing, right? Moreover, the beach is nearby and you may choose for your..suntanning/drink/food between pool or beach.. hehee.. I'd also like to mention the bangalows, which are so practical, surrounded by flowers and cats(!), quiet -only if you stay from no.40 and above-, clean and with a speechless-for-its-beauty seaside view. During the night (as the day isn't so quiet , mainly because of the kids playing around) you can relax listening only the waves..it's something unique! So simply, so perfect ! One word? Go!!
