Location of Villa Irida is perfect, you have the whole beach for yourself. It is the real Crete with no turists. You can also borrow chairs and umbrella for the beach for free.

It was a bit difficult to communicate with the owner and tell him that we had already booked via booking.com. Quite dangerous dirt roads on the way to get there.

It was a taste of real Crete, with its real people. The beach is just in front of the hotel and it's quite and unspoilt. Very relaxing!

We ordered and paid for a room with a sea view, but we did not get it. We paid for room in advance through booking.com, but the staff still wanted to pay again.

    1. The place is not a Ritz-Carlton (and you can hardly expect it for 35EUR per night) so the room is a bit small. But if you just sleep there it is more than adequate. 2. The villa is placed in the village "main square" - in front of taverns, mini-market, etc. So it may be a bit noisy - there are no drunk riots, of course, but it is not as quiet and tranquil as you may like.

    1. The place is very close to the beach - and the beach itself is very large and clean. 2. The room has everything you may need for a short stay including quite well equipped kitchen. 3. The villa location is excellent - in the middle of the quite village. Other villages nearby (Tertsa, Arvi) are of the same kind - so you have many kilometers of empty clean beaches at your disposal. In general, the property location is perfect if you just want to stay away of crowds on the Crete south cost. 4. Small present on arrival - a bottle of raki, a bottle of wine, a bottle of olive oil - very nice touch.

There was no cleaing of the apartment during the whole stay - 1 week which was unpleasant because of sand you bring from the beach - no broom in the room and waste you have in the bin (necessary to take away 150 metres to a dustbin or be lucky and meet the cleaner and give her your rubbish). Very basic stuff in the kitchen. Pity that these things spoil the general impression.

Perfect place for relaxing holiday - tiny village far away from crowds, stress and traffic. Beach just across the road, a taverna and a small shop nearby. A car is a necessity. The apartment house in a nice Greek style with a large library (tens of books even in English to borrow), our room had a beach umbrella and sun chairs which we really appreciated.

Very serene Cretan feeling. The owner of the property was very helpful. A huge beach without crowd and absolutely no annoying tourist trappings. The accommodation is clean, has fast wifi, and very cosy. Most recommended for relaxing.

Difficult to find. Very small bathroom. No elevator. No hotel restaurant - we went to restaurant closebay but no breakfat was available! Restaurant owner went for shopping to Ierapetra and at 10-11 no food was possible to eat.

I loved hotel decoration and biblioteque. Owner is an eldery man who is a typical Greek. He loves his village but unfortunately I need to say that nothing interesting was there and beach is quite dirty.
