Too many steps was the only small issue

Excellent Villa and nice and peaceful

The walk down to the beach/town was only 20 minutes on a quiet lane however it was uphill all the way back. Luckily there were plenty of taxis.

Lovely comfortable villa with plenty of space for 8 adults to relax and enjoy themselves. The outdoor dining area was perfect for barbecues and lunches. Laura also gave some excellent recommendations for places to eat in Rethymno.

Not the villa it's self just taxis were pricey when 8 of you want to just nip Into old town €30 (with it only being a 4min drive if that so we spent ALOT on taxis) it is on a very steep hill and supermarket is a 15min walk easy downhill but up wouldn't recommend haha.

The Villa is absolutely beautiful and definitely suits 8 people or less. The house has everything you need the rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The bathrooms are perfect size (the balcony room has ensuite) the back two rooms share a bathroom and downstairs bedroom has a separate bathroom next door. There's plenty of space and the sercuity is very good also. Laura our hostess was amazing and answered any questions we had even stupid ones like... Is there a coffee maker haha! Honestly it's a beautiful place.

Excellent communication with the team before and while staying in the villa. They arranged for us a car hire from the Heraklion airport and a private chef night (highly recommended) The outdoor area is amazing, peaceful and very close to the city center! We will certainly come back!

I loved everything about Kastellakia Executive Villa! Its location is amazing, conveniently close to the heart of the city making it easy to explore the attractions nearby. The staff are also amazing, they went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Their warm welcome and attentive service made me feel right at home! Also, the cleanliness of the accommodation was impeccable. My room was spacious and spotless throughout my stay there. I loved lounging in the beautiful pool and garden area, chilling in the peaceful atmosphere. Can’t forget to mention the array of activities suggested by the team that all added an extra layer of enjoyment to my trip!

Spacious Villa very clean, in an excellent location near Rethymnon town. Friendly staff and warm welcome. We enjoyed the BBQ night with an amazing chef, cooking delicious Cretan specialties. The gym is the hot spot of the Villa, with the beautiful sea view. We highly recommend it and certainly we will be back in our next stop to Crete.

We arrived really late and had no supplies such as milk or juice for the morning until we made it to the supermarket, it have been nice to have had something but wasn't an issue.

5min taxi from town and supermarket a 15min walk downhill from villa. Beautiful villa and very clean. The owner was so helpful and arranged our transfers and an amazing bbq with a chef for our guests. She couldn't do enough for us. I would recommend anyone to stay at the villa especially families with children as it was very safe.

we stayed here during our wedding. well what can I say apart from sensational! the villa itself is beautiful, spacious and in a very quiet area. a lovely 20mins walk downhill admiring the views of rethymno! just cannot fault it. then you have the personal touches from Katerina and Irini. always on call, booking taxis or anything we needed. Lovely people and ones who we will not forget.

We had an incident , a shower door shattered while someone was in the shower . We contacted the agent who sorted it out the following day however the main concern of the agent seemed to be the cost of the replacement being taken out of our deposit rather than the welfare of the person that had been in the shower when the glass shattered, . We got an invoice for the damage that wasn't our fault just 20 euros short of the deposit ,which I thought was convenient For the owner ,also the quote was in Greek so we had no idea of what it said .This seemed odd as there was a shower door missing from the en-suite bathroom too , highlighting the fact that the showers were in poor condition and both bathroom doors had clearly broken through natural wear and tear or poor fitting of the shower units as oppose to wrong usage on our part. This property has been let since 2015 and now all the furniture ,showers and are tired worn .The bed mattresses stained , no protectors and are very tired . The showers are in a pretty worn state which is why , I would be surprised if they actually bother to replace it at all . Kettle does not switch off automatically and garden furniture is an old but working .I would be aware that anyone staying some of the furniture as it's all very tired and it's easy for them to say you have damaged it but it's just old. The first night I burnt the hair off my arm lighting the bbq as there are no indicators to say what position the burners are in . Be careful of the extractor in the kitchen as it overhangs the island and two ppl smacked their heads but we were told about this at the beginning . Just very badly designed .

The property is in a lovely area . Nice surroundings away from the hustle and bustle . Needs updating desperately .
