Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Hungary- Nothing big, just two minor nuances. The first one was the occasional construction work on the 3rd floor during the day. Sometimes this bothered us a bit when we wanted to have a quick power nap in the afternoon but it never was critical. - The second thing that could be improved is to have a (mini) fridge in the room. We were allowed to store all our stuff in the bar’s fridge though. This was a really nice gesture of them.
- The hotel has a great inner courtyard with green plants and open pool for everyone to use - Clean room and an amazing bathroom - Impeccable air conditioning (which is quite important in the constantly hot weather, a simple fan or two will not do much good for you in this climate) - The hotel offers tours to Tikal and other destinations (these are organized externally) - the prices are relatively cheap and the tour guides are great. Our early morning shuttle got some mechanical issues so the tour company sent a taxi for the two of us and had us transported to Tikal directly. By the time we got there, they arranged us to join another group of theirs.

United States of AmericaThird floor, where we stayed, still under construction. They don’t provide drinking water other than a couple of small bottles.
Good location in Santa Elena about two blocks from the bridge to Flores. Nice bar area and small pool with plants and seating. Convenient for the airport.

CanadaIt was close to Flores but also close to the bus station. The pool allowed for a cool off and provided atmosphere around the breakfast bar area. Rooms were clean. Beds were comfortable.

FranceNothing but we just stayed a small night. Lots of dogs barking around though, make sure you have earplugs !
We booked it in emergency at around 6pm because a friend was coming to Flores by bus and she arrived at 1am so we couldn’t go back to El Remate : the reception was really flexible and comprehensive and the clerk was really kind and helpful when we had to organize her arrival to the hotel as the neighborhood is not really safe to walk around at night. He called a taxi for her and we were really thankful for his help. Also : awesome sunrise from our window in room 302 !

FranceQuinta Maya Hotel in Flores offers a decent stay, especially if you're planning to explore Mayan sites all day and are looking for an affordable, comfortable base. Location-wise, it's a convenient choice, close to the Flores island with just a 15-minute walk. The staff is friendly and accommodating, ensuring daily room cleaning. The comfort level is basic, which is fitting for its economical pricing. However, due to its position at the junction of two bustling roads, it can get a bit noisy. On the plus side, the air conditioning system functions well, providing respite from the noise and the heat. The hotel does show its age, and a touch-up wouldn't hurt, but it's worth noting that the pricing aligns with the condition.

Lovely big rooms that were super clean and tidy. We loved our little balcony over the pool. Great place to relax and slow down.

United States of AmericaThere is no place to keep keep even a small makeup or toiletries near the sink area in the bathroom. also the curtains to the shower is very thin and definitely needs a magnetic or heavy down to keep the curtain attached to the sides. both the days, after shower water came out and made the whole bathroom messy.
Property location is good and it is 2 blocks walk to the lake Peten. Also near to fruits, vegetable shops and a pharmacy. the staff were really helpful. One of my family member was I’ll and hotel staff helped to get medicine for us from the near by pharmacy.
