Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

I like the view of the beaches and the city.. The beach is clean, and water is blue and crystal clear..

United StatesCarpet in the room was in a great need of replacement and quite dirty. Construction during my stay as renovations were being made to the lobby area, but not very troubling.
Hotel was within walking distance of many restaurants, bars, beach was a 2 minute walk. Buffet breakfast was exceptional.

Philippines- Room service can definitely use an improvement, line is always busy, need to go down the reception if you need something, i guess they're short staff at this time coz we see very few staff. There was a day when clean towels replacement was delayed coz they said delivery of fresh laundry was delayed. -No one wil also assist you with your luggage. -Pillows were a bit big and hard, not fluffy. Blankets very thin.
Location, shuttle bus stop is infront of the hotel. We got the ocean view room so everyday we have this awesome view of the beautiful clear waters of the beach, which is just around 2 minutes walk from the hotel. Filipino staff at the buffet area is very accommodating (forgot his name, he's an older guy), always greets us with a smile and brings us coffee. Rooms are also big.

United StatesA bit shabby-looking in places, Not 5*star amenities....room not super-clean & a bit musty-smelling. Definitely can improve on the amenities & replace the soap dispensers in the showers- they were very annoying.
Great view, room-size, beach location. Best price for that view on the island.

JapanThe hotel was old and it looked like many places needed repair. We stayed here for 5 nights. The wind was brutally strong that week. The balcony window could not close firmly and, due to a lack of weatherstripping between the panes, we heard a non-stop howling of the wind.
This hotel has plenty of space for parking. On our first day, we did not have a car, but K-Mart was within walking distance. Also, a rent car shop was on the other side of the street. This was convenient for us.

PhilippinesThe room was old but beds were clean. We stayed in the family suite and bed foot was broken. I think staff knew about it but no changes were made. spring bed (single) was so-so. but double beds comfy. Cups/glasses are not cleaned or change everytime the room/bed is made up. you have to ask for water and coffee daily.
The location. and the size of the room compensated for it all.

Japan-Room cleaning time is too random. One day before 9:00, another day 17:00. don't know what time we supposed to stay at our room. -Saw cockroaches more than a few times. Small ones. means they grown up there, not came from outside. -Need to spend like 30 USD/ each meal and person in this area, even breakfast.
-Great location. Amazing beautiful ocean is right in front. You can swim with fishes, no need to go anywhere for that. -Almost any kind of Asian restaurant is walking distance. -Everybody knows this hotel, anyone can pick us up. -Spacious and not too commercialized in a good way.

United States$24 breakfast! That is just outrageously priced.
Walking distance to the main tourist area, next to the beach and close to the beach parks. Also, easy access to the main access road in Guam which leads to the airport. The staff at the property was helpful and always friendly.

SpainThe humidity in the beds. She had reserved the room for two days and they had the right to charge them. But because of Cyclone Mal, I had to change flights because I was stuck in Tuvalu. I have traveled to 195 countries in the world and at some point I had had problems with flights, and to prove it, they had never charged me the price of the room. I guess since it wasn't very full, Mr. Hafa Adai had to try to make the quota. Ethically the were not correct

JapanI think this hotel’s heydays are long past. I took into account that a typhoon has hit 5 months previous, but the disrepair and just overall sadness that hung in the air was tangible. Things like bird feces piled up on the balcony (a week’s worth, at least), to the light fixtures dangling from wires in the front foyer (so dangerous) to the broken electric door to enter the building, these are not typhoon issues; these are issues of simply not caring anymore. I was there for 6 days, and the front door was not repaired. The bird feces? Not removed. I did not complain because I believe the state of this hotel speaks volumes; management does not care. Because it is a cheaper alternative to some nearby resorts, they are guaranteed clients. But it is exactly these kinds of clients one would hope a little extra effort is put in to show the best side of Guam for people on a budget. There is no pride in this place; it’s a relic from a bygone era, and the owners have pretty much given up. The staff are wonderful and friendly, and I hope their management appreciate the effort they put in to make up for the lack of care in upkeep.
The staff were very friendly. It was quiet, not many guests, so a tranquil feeling. The red island shuttle bus was conveniently located right by the hotel.
