Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

MalaysiaReception staff need to improve on their communication skills. We had a miscommunication on the hotel payment and two different staff quoted different information on the payment made, causing unnecessary misunderstanding. Pillows are a bit too soft for me.
Housekeeping and concierge staff were friendly and helpful. Room is clean and of a decent size. Hotel is centrally located within wanchai area.

United KingdomThe hotel rooms are a bit out of date and are in need of renovation asap. The room was not properly cleaned during our stay. Breakfast is average (charged at 200HNK per person)

GermanyBreakfast was a bit expensive, but literally next door are several chain coffee places (Starbucks, Pret a Manger) as good alternatives.
Our king bedroom was large and renovated. It provided a nice view toward the Wan Chai highrises and even parts of Victoria Peak. It was fun to turn the two chairs toward the big window and enjoy the view; we had asked for a nice view in our booking comment and are grateful to the hotel that they did accommodate our request. The room was in excellent condition, with good lighting and a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was very functional and bright. Access to public transport (metro, bus, tram, ferry) was great. Staff very friendly.

United KingdomA minor issue with the lights - the lights were quite dim which was fine until you needed to read the labels on the various switches.
We stayed in room 2110 which was in a nice quiet position. The bed was large and very comfortable. There was a good variety of items on the breakfast menu.

SingaporeUnfortunately, the staff weren't the friendliest and hospitable bunch we've met on this trip (we were in Macau for 3 nights prior to our stay here and the service staff there was fab! A world of difference..). Our last trip to HK was before the pandemic and we tried asking the concierge for food recommendations and information about places/ restaurants we used to love visiting (and according to g00gle have been closed permanently). They just kept brushing us away saying they weren't sure. They didn't even seem to have recommendations for food places around the hotel. Thankfully we went on a walking tour and our guide was more than able to address our queries.
The room was bigger than most rooms typical of HK hotels. Location was fine - just a short walk from the MTR. Note though, if you're travelling with luggage, DO NOT follow the instructions on g maps! Use the elevator right at the exit of the MTR gantry and use the overhead bridge towards the hotel. Then use the elevator after McD's to get down to street level.

Hong KongThere were men in suits standing around the lobby area who were obviously staff of the hotel but they were never helpful. They always had this long face and never bordered to greet guests. I remember when I arrived from the taxi with my luggage inn front of the back door, one of these men just looked at me from the inside, never ever bordered to help me open the very heavy door while I was struggling with my luggage.
The housekeeping staff, concierge and front desk staff are very pleasant and helpful.

JapanThe toilet seat wasn’t on the places it should be. So my thigh touched to the toilet under the seat if I do not place any paper on the seat…. That was little gross…
Shower pressure is always good! Enough space for 2-3 people for staying more than 3nights. Staff is always nice :) I like that they provide new slippers everyday as well! We always worry that the drain doesn’t work smoothly but this time was very good. I hope we can have the same situation every time.

FinlandHotel is in the business district so there is no supermarket nearby (20 mins walk). No shopping malls in the vicinity either. Rooms would benefit from a renovation, furniture and some other facilities are rather worn.
Location is very good in Wanchai from business point of view, if one has business in that area, the major office complexes are at walking distance. Sound proofing is good which is important as the hotel is facing very busy road. Room is sizeable by Hong Kong standard and cleanliness was OK.
