Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomSet menu for breakfast which had the same 3 options for a month. When the restaurant was closed there was no where to sit in the hotel like a coffee lounge to eat food and have a drink. No table in rooms to eat food. The carpets in the hallways/corridor and in the bedrooms need replacing. There are stains in most places and the carpet in our room was damp in some areas. Pillows could be firmer.
Shuttle bus service into Tseun Wan; games room for children to pass time; quiet around the hotel; staff were helpful and polite. Daily housekeeping and refreshing of towels.

AustraliaVery hard mattress. Very soft low pillows. Cleanliness- staff do not clean the room properly. Rubbish on carpet remains after 12 days stay. Cleaning staff tipped full container of water onto carpet from dehumidifier without any follow up or cleaning up afterwards.
Unlimited drinking water supply from Water fountain outside the room. Shuttle bus to Tsuen Wan MTR every 15 minutes or so. Helpful staff in the main lobby.

NetherlandsThe location is not very easy to reach by MTR so you need to understand how the public buses work. We took public bus for check in and shuttlebus after check out. You might need to wait a bit because only 4 suitcases fit in shuttlebus. We were lucky that it was not busy on Monday in March.
The shuttlebus to Tsuen Wan is a very good service. The room is spacious compared with other similar price hotels and cleaned properly every day. Towels, tooth brushes, shampoo, toiletpaper, tissues, coffee and tea are available and refilled after usage.

staff was amazing and super helpful because I always have a hard time traveling through Asia because of the language but they were amazing. I just wished I had gotten me a sea view room. Super quiet which is what I needed after long hours of traveling.

South AfricaThe quality of the toilet paper was horrible. There are no shops or restaurants near the hotel.
We were surprised with the size of the room which came with a kitchenette and a small fridge. The quality of the towels was very good. A bonus was the sea view and city lights from the window which was beautiful. We were very grateful for the regular shuttle service to Tsuen Wan.

CanadaSome cracks on some amenities such as tabletop or washroom sink but still acceptable. Lack of microwave in our family room is disappointing as we will have to heat up our takeouts. Sink tap was leaking as it was designed improperly and due to hygiene, liquid soap should be provided instead of soap bar.
All staffs (front desk, housekeeping, door person) were excellent, very helpful and understanding. Despite the location, the hotel is very comfortable and has everything we need (except food). Room was spacious with great views and lots of sunshine. Shuttle service is quick and easily accessible.

Hong KongThere is nothing close by. Plenty of vending machines in the lobby though. And breakfast times are not meant for people who have to be up and out early. Easier to go find something to eat in Tsuen Wan.
Very cool location under the bridge. We walked down to the beach (a couple hundred meters down a path and steps) for a fabulous night time bridge of the two bridges. The room was fine for a one night stay. It was kind of a bizarre hotel out in nowhere but we liked the quirkiness. Very frequent hotel shuttle bus from the Tsuen Wan MTR that is constantly full of people going back and forth.
