“We had a lovely time in Povlja, a charming little town with a peaceful, family-friendly vibe. If you're traveling with a pet, rest assured—many locals are dog owners themselves and are very welcoming toward animals.
The apartment itself was adorable and located right by the sea. Falling asleep to the sound of waves and waking up to the scent of the sea was truly magical. It’s the kind of place that invites you to slow down and enjoy the moment.
The pet accommodation fee was €50 wich felt somewhat unnecessary, especially since no additional amenities provided for pets. Given the overall pet-friendly environment, including the welcoming attitude of locals, it would have been nice if the fee reflected some added value.”
“Pleasant, cool apartment with a practical kitchenette, in the city center. We really liked the view from the terrace to the harbor, the hill opposite, the proximity of shops and restaurants. We were happy that Povlja has a variety of beaches: city, bay, peninsula-top, secluded bay.
The attentiveness of the friendly hosts filled us with a good feeling: new patio furniture, olive oil and figs as a gift, shaded parking, mosquito net.
We discovered real interesting things locally: the famous early Christian basilica, the viewpoint overlooking the entire bay, an abandoned war bunker on a nearby beach, the somersaults and head-jumps of local youth in the harbor in the evenings.
There are also several restaurants and ice cream parlors. We ate excellent pizza and squid with tartar sauce.”
