Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Great, big apartment that provides everything you need. Terrace with amazing view of the sea. The hosts are amazing, ready to help with anything, nice and welcoming. Beach, shops, restaurants are nearby, city is just a lovely short walk away.

Everything was perfect! The apartment was well equiped, the terrace was comfortable and large, it was shaded almost all day. The host was frendly and helpful. The beach is wonderful and just 5 minutes walk from the apartment, shady and not crowded. There are great restaurants nearby, the city center is 15 minutes walk away. We would love to come back :)

The apartment is in a beautiful, quiet location, just a stone's throw from the city's promenade for wonderful evening walks. It is very tastefully furnished, with all the necessities a family needs. The kitchen is extremely well equipped, allowing the same cooking comfort as at home. We were also very pleased to find a new, clean and beautifully decorated bathroom, with a large shower.

Parking in Mali Losinj can be a... challenge. It must be a nightmare here in high season to manoeuvre in and out of your spot and the street itself. It was adventurous enough when I was there. All of this must be done under the vigilant eyes of the local resident parking police. It felt at times like my movements were being monitored by the parking secret service and any digression would be swiftly (and silently) dealt with. Apparently a public street here is not what most people from other freedom -loving countries would regard as a public street. Be strong.
Seaview apartment. Smallish but comfortable apartment under the roof ideal for 1 or 2 active (check out the spiral staircase!) people. Yes, the view is stupendous. Lovely, accommodating hosts

very good, modern new apartment in a garden city environment. the jacuzzi was nice. the old town is a 10-minute walk on very interesting footpaths. you can see the sea from the terrace. I can only recommend.

Nice location with walking distance to the beach and well located to reach any desirable place on the island by car. Peaceful and quiet area. Very kind and helpful hosts. Pet friendly. Good facilities all together.

Stayed in the green oasis apartment. It was exceptionally clean, which I really appreciated. Also well equipped. Dog friendly place. Shower was great, and had a make up table in the bedroom as well (My girlfriend really liked that)

all was great
The hosts were great! The apartment was really well equipped, with a lot of space, two terraces, a jacuzzi, an outdoor dining space, a barbecue, etc. The kitchen was great, each room had its own full bathroom - really all you might need. We had dedicated 2 parking spaces for us, and the closest beach was around 4 minutes of walking away - ideal for a morning swim. We will come back to Mali Losinj for sure :)

There sure are a lot of stairs but on the other hand, the view is fantastic.

If I have to mention one thing, then street is quite narrow before the house, but it is possible to park immediately at the house with some caution. If you prefer more space to your car, then there is a dedicated parking not far away.
Appartment looks like like brand new, equipped with everything what was needed.

Honestly couldn’t find a fault.
Exceptional clean and comfortable in a fantastic location. It’s about 15-20 mins walk from the ferry if you are reasonably fit. I can’t rate the host family high enough, they certainly went above a beyond the call of duty it make our stay great. They were all so helpful. I would highly recommend them to everyone.
