Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content

- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Not enough toiletries. Bathroom light was flickering and we weren’t warned about it until we were checking out land someone was coming to fix it. Wifi was not accessible from the centre of the room (had to stand right next to the door)

Pleasant room with great view over the water. Ideal location in the centre of town and convenient for the festival. The swimming pool was good and nice bar/ restaurant.

The breakfast time could be longer from 7:00 to 11:00 as a suggestion.
The breakfast was good with fair variety, but it could change a little bit each day like having more fruit options.

The check in and out times are terrible, they don’t tell you on booking.com that times to check in are 4pm and check out before 10am we found that at the front reception on a printed paper, I don’t think that’s fair for the money you pay. The Wifi was the worst I have ever seen
The location was excellent, we had a room with a balcony over looking the town it was really nice.

Lovely clean facilities. Pool area was well maintained and had a good food menu in the restaurant. Buffet was alright (breakfast included in stay) wouldn’t rave about it but did the job. The cleaners were so gorgeously friendly and did an incredible job!

Unfriendly and unhelpful staff. Hot in the common areas. Separating guests who paid for all meals from regular guests and telling them where to sit and having their room numbers on tables.

Shower was not good. Had to sit in the bath to get a shower as the shower would not stretch to above my stomach. The sun beds at the far side of the pool were all broken and got so hot as they were black. Real shame they couldn’t spend a few hundred £ on some new sun beds would make a huge difference.

breakfast was repetitive and we were missing more vegetables (varieties) and fruits coffee for breakfast was from the machine and was terrible...... churche bell was dinging every 15 minutes also during the night - almost unbearable
they make great coffee in the bar

Sheets on bed were ripped and stained when I arrived. Replacement sheets also had little holes in them. Hotel staff were nice but one cafe staff member had a rude attitude

Room was a bit small (just the bed and a desk) but fine for a day or two.
Good location, nice beds and great swimming pool. The staff was very nice to allow us to check in a few hours earlier when we asked. We went to dekmantel festival which is only a short 20 minutes walk from the hotel. Good to keep in mind when you book around end of august that the hotel might be full of people going to the festival (also some families though) , however didn’t hear anything during the night/early morning but still useful to know.

No soundproofing in the hallway so you could hear every slight noise. Although very clean and new, the hotel seems a little soulless. Breakfast was disappointing.

The parking slots are limited at the hotel and when we arrived it was full so we had to park nearby. It costs 100HRK/day. The service at the breakfast was not so good nor the breakfast itself. The freshly made eggs were really bad, totally dry. In total the quality and the types of the food are really poor. The towel-hook in the room was broken and the towels were sleazy and it gave a bad feeling for the room.
Best location if you want to be in the middle of the city. The beach can be reached by foot because it's 10 mins walk. The service at the reception and at the bar were really kind. The bed was comfortable and the wifi was good. The pool area is really nice.

Reception staff were difficult at times On arrival they placed us in a small room, with no real view from the window. After complaining they changed our room to bigger size with a sea view. They initially tried to charge us EUR13 an hour for the gym, but then changed their mind after several guest had complained Main entrance is locked after midnight, no one told us you require a code to enter the hotel during the hours of midnight and 6am
great location, very central to the gardens (if attending a festival) Breakfast was ok, but the a la carte menu was better Pool got a lot of sun and the water was chilled

Free breakfast is not worth getting up for. Our mini fridge was missing and took 3 days to be replaced. Quite dated decor. Power points in odd places. Had to keep requesting clean towels. Pool towels very small. Room wasn't cleaned despite requesting. Air con very feeble and has 22 degree min. Wifi terrible, very intermittent and kept dropping on and off Would've been nice to have a kettle and tea making facilities in room. We upgraded to superior room so expected a little more ...
Excellent location for The Garden and other amenities very close by. Super helpful and friendly staff. Nice pool and seating area. Nice restaurant, food reasonable.

There’s nothing I don’t like about this hotel, not one complaint or gripe.
It’s in a best place in Tisno & has a lovely pool & the food is great! The rooms are lovely, the shower / bathroom is great & there’s always hot water & clean towels. The rooms are super clean & we had a gorgeous view over beautiful Tisno. This is my second stay at Hotel Borovnik & I will definitely go back again.

Air conditioning was broken in the middle of a heatwave. While I understand this was because of a power fault there were no backup fans available. It was impossible to sleep.
