Would be nice if there was a bar that is opened and served coffee before 12 (:

Bungalows are located in the pine forrest which is perfect because of the shade. Parking on site. Good restaurant and beach were few minutes away.

The beach in places can have sharp rocks, and the rooms can seem humid at times.

Bungalows are located in small forest which makes for a very nice shade, since there is no a/c. Walk to the beach is anywhere between 50-150M depending on your bungalow. Bungalows come with all cookware and utensils. Has many of sports facilities available for use from basketball, volleyball to tennis. Overall 7.5/10...

There was a few groups of Spanish people who were partying next to our door till the 5 a.m!!! In the morning. There was screaming, music, singing etc., but stuff didn’t come and shut them down, which was a big disappointment for us.

The property is just right for a few friends or young family that are looking for something quite cheap, near the sea and with good location. We really liked the balcony and the privacy of the property. Overall good place with fair money.

Staff could be a little friendlier, bungalows should be cleaner, be prepared for bugs as roommates :-)

Considering the price, i have no complaints. Location is good, pine forrest all around, fairly clean beach, quite roomy bungalows,... But we were here in May, I don't know how much a bungalow costs in high season. In my opinion its not worth more than 40€/day.

The staff was not the most friendly, the answers usually were simple sentences to maybe get rid of us quicker, or at least this is how it felt.

The terrace was spacious, also the bungalow with its separate bedrooms. Shady, even if it hot outside, it is cool inside.

The kitchen equipment should deserve some upgrades (but still sufficient for the basic cooking). Kanegra bungalows are in rugged terrain so be ready for stairs and tilted paths

Location by the sea and beaches, close to the border (great for the trips to Slovenia and Italy), nice place with great views, comfortable beds, sport facilities (free wake-up gymnastics, tennis courts, volley ball court, water sport centre), dance evenings, summer cinema.

Little bit of extra cleaning would be needed, a lot of of dust on bottom shelves of bedside tables. Lot of spiders and ants inside the cupboards, in the corners, but considering the woods where the bungalow is situated I guess it is normal. Very small kitchen, not very well equiped. An extra countertop would be nice /we used dining table - witch had one broken foot and couldn't even be used for dining, for most food preparation and than ate on the balcony/. We read reviews prior going, so we brought some kitchen equipment /cutting board, knives, spatula, sponge, whisk, lemon squeezer, water kettle, can opener, wine opener/, some things are available to buy in the market in the resort, if needed. We did only simple cooking for kids, so we managed with what we had. Towels were changed once during the stay, but we received only 4 the second time instead of 6. Not aware of any silent hours, should be pointed out by some signs arround the bungalows, as people did not respect other people sleeping and made noise till 2, 2:30 in the morning, disco even later.

The bungalow was quite spacious /we were 4 adults & 2 kids/. We enjoyed the restaurant food /seafood, pasta were great/. The market in the resort was very convenient, all sorts of things available for reasonable price. Even though thay say they don't accept € within the resort, they did everywhere except the market. Nice beaches (for snorkeling the nicest was left from the Sport center - where the dogs are allowed, but we are dog lovers, so we didn't mind), you can find small isolated ones or use the big ones, where showers and changing rooms are available). In the hot days a lot of shade is available under the pine trees and the beaches are never crowded.

I didn't like the fact, that the bungalow park had no playpark for kids. However, the nudist beach right next to us(still in Kanegra resort), had a children play park in it.

Very strange place. Everything was very old and full of insects (ants liked the bad a lot) with disgusting smell in the room. Wi fi costed 10 euros per 3 days but has almost never worked. When I asked receptionist about that he said what do you want we are 2 star hotel. The food in restaurant and in taverna suprised me as everything was very bad and double priced comparing to Slovenia. So if you don't have a car you can easily loose some weight :)

The only thing I liked there was the place but at the same time I felt sorry for such a beautiful place owned by people who do not have any sense of how hotel business should work.

We'd booked the bungalow for 6 adults, but clearly the accommodation only had one adult double bed, the rest of the beds were dedicated to kids or sofas. They should have warned us. Also the lights were too weak, we couldn't see anything at nights.

    1. No kids place. The one at nudists was old and vary. Kids are tons there. 2. Reception is not helpful, apart of this one gentleman. 3. Read comments about dishes and kitchen appliance, we have enough. Electricity breakdowns were because everyone cooked at the same time and everything is old, but it was ok. Houses were small, like 2 10 meter rooms, but location was great. 4. Too many people from Italy and Slovenia come daily on cars without any payment, park on places of yours or by the beach directly, with kids it's impossible then to take a carriage and bags: they are on your way. German teens are not loud and ok. 5. Sports. Are old and expensive, 10e tennis. Sport personnel is never there or to collect money only. 6. Laundry is expensive. 7. Cleaning. Melia cleaning. Is strange: one shift was ok, the other took 5 mi with dry towel to clean the house! No water! Dirty rooms and then to lay the sheets.

    1. Beach is best in Istria and Slovenia. 2. Nice, very nice atmosphere and all people we saw there. Like a good pioneer camp for adults. 3. Pines. Everything is in pines. 4. Price for the early season. 5. Reception Ivan Pavlov (I think). Rest shifts were slow and not helpful

Really missing: 1) Public laundry on bungalows site (3-4 washing machines would be enough) 2) Barbecue place on bungalows site (1-3 places would be enough) 3) Children's play yard A grassland in the middle of bungalows would fit perfectly all 3 above. Would be ideal place for family vacation with children once 3 facilities above are provided.

However, if you are primarily coming to Umag, then Kanegra shouldn't be your choice. Kanegra is teritorially in a different place, not Umag, and thus pretty far. Taxi is expensive. There's poor street light, if any.

I liked the surrounding nature, especially the pine woods and the beaches. Nice place for walking. You can shoot nice photos. If you are going to Kangera just for the beaches and nature, then this is a perfect spot for you.

Additional payment for a pet (13 еuros per day). It was not published in the Booking offer. Extremely expensive internet access (4 euros per day). Market in the resort was poorly supplied (probably due to the end of the summer season, even though the resort was full with the visitors). The beach for the pets is too small (15 square meters). Surprisingly, pets are not allowed on the big beach. It could be consider as acceptable if it is not allowed for pets to swim on the same beach, however the pets that are not swimming should be allowed under the strict owners control.

Location and the concept of the resort. Position of the bungalow. No parking problem. Friendly staff on the reception desk. Perfect landscape and surrounding. Maintenance on the resort is on a high level. Peaceful and quiet, nice for relaxation.

no secluded beaches; sharp gravel on the beach so swimming shoes are a good investment; jellyfish (generally harmless ones); car is a must to get by (or bicycle)

old fashioned but clean facilities; pine trees all around the property so it has enough shade during the day; quiet at night; near the beach (3-5 min); supermarket in the complex; pet friendly (dog beaches); near Umag, Poreč, Rovinj, Grožnjan, Momjan,... so site-seeing is easy and there is a lot to do

We had a bit of a walk to the beach (about 15min.in a quite steep location), the beach itself was fairly small so on busy days there was a struggle to find a good spot. The bungalow facilities were not the best. The fridge was corroded at the edges and the general kitchen supply could have been better: e.g. No coffee machine or bottle opener.

This was the worst possible holiday. The apartments are very old and not maintained well. You have to bring your own dishes if you are in a bigger appartment, as there are not enough there. Our door was kicked in, which meant that we had to carry everything valuable with us all the time. The staff is unflexible. Furthermore, they promise you some enterteinment in the evenigns, which is then not realized. They are even too lazy to turn on the lights on the volleyball court. Also, the security staff is extremely unfriedly and even agressive and violent. The apartments are too expensive for what they are. Do not visit.

I think resort overcharges and does not invest in the business. This was our second year there and I was appalled that resort has not invested anything. It is sad that this location and business means so little to them. I think if the families are you main customer then it would make sense to invest in more facilities for children!

Location is great for family with children. As you get from bungalow to sea in a few minutes. People working there are nice and ready to serve. Some of them undertrained.

There are hard beds, no inner spring mattress, a single sheet with an old blanket. The walls are white but the furniture is dark and sad looking. The shower is located over the small bathtub but there is mould on the window and the surrounding tiles of the bathtub. There are no flyscreens on the windows and you are eaten alive from the mosquitos. There is NO air-conditioning and its very uncomfortable. Avoid this place. It needs a major renovation.

The place is located by the beach YES but is you think its going to be golden sand to lie and walk think again. Its large rocks. I don't know where they got the photos for the website but is not actual. Even a staff member agreed with me that the place is not accurate as described on the website. Of course the furnishing of the rooms are not the newest one - but it can be seen already on the picture -, but apart from this, you will enjoy everything i think. The WIFI is not for free, but at least it is not so expensive.

The beach is marvellous, the sea is beautiful there, the location of Kanegra is little bit far away from Umag (7km), but if you have a car it doesn't cause any problem. The environment of the Resort is very nice, big trees, 2 nice restaurants, and it's definately not crowded. You can make big walks also between the boundaries of the Resort, so it's very useful if you travel with children, that you can let them walking alone or ryding bycicle. There is also a shop, a small bakery, and 2 restaurants inside the Resort, which are also good.

Towels that we received looked dirty. No kettle in the kitchen.

Friendly service. The beach is very clean, - no sea urchins, which are characteristic for the Croatian coasts; in the afternoon beach was little crowded, but there wasn't a problem to find a space. There is a market and bakery on site. The bungalows are located in close proximity to the city center of Umag (10 minutes by car).

I wouldn't have liked the crowded non nudist beaches with noisy children. But they all seemed happy if that's one what has to do. Beaches are large pebbly ones, but that's what you seem to get in that region.

We were 2 adults in a bungalow which could take 4. So roomy for us. Intimate for 4. We asked for and got a room near the sea. That made a big difference. Bungalow clean and cosy certainly good for the price. People around were surprisingly quiet - apart from one group on night. It only takes one to destroy the atmosphere. We lucked out well on that score. The separately owned restaurant in the grounds was good. The nudist beach at the adjacent camp was far quieter than the very crowded non nudist beach in front of the bungalows. Very clean calm sea. Walks among the pine trees. Visit to Rovinj and restaurants in Brtoniglia.
