Route to swimming deck required us to walk through the restaurant in our bathrobes.

Stupendous views over the Kvarner Bay; extremely helpful, friendly staff at reception and in restaurant; lovely indoor seawater pool. Good choice at breakfast buffet.

It was too hot in the room (27*C), the fridge was not clean, there was not any shampoo, the price for the cat was 22 EUR per day, parking place was difficult to find nearby.

The dinner was not really child friendly. There was little our kid would eat.

Our room had a malfunctioning air conditioner unit that screeched very loudly a few times through the night. We were moved to another room and the staff were very apologetic and helpful.

We had a view over the sea which was magnificent - especially at sunrise. The variety at breakfast and the ability to sit on the terrace and look out over the water was an added bonus (despite the ever present pigeons).

Parking is a big problem. If you go past the hotel looking for parking you have to drive around a huge loop on one-way streets to get back to hotel. The small parking area at the hotel was full. The person on reception eventually found me a spot beside the hotel and stopped traffic for me to drive in and out.

Great location. Pool. Eating tasty meals outside overlooking the sea. The staff did eventually solve the parking issue mentioned below.

The rooms, furniture, bathrooms and entire design of the hotel requires refreshment. But it wasn't that disappointing, because the cleanliness of the towels, linen, etc. compensates it. For those who are real foodies, I wouldn't recommend having dinners there. Worth mentioning this hotel seems to be a preferred option for mature people (60 and over), it's just the fact, nothing bad or good about that.

The hotel is very nice and service is great. Staff is very polite and professional which I value. The sea view from the room was a great surprise and it was just stunning. Breakfast is tasty and offers a good selection of dishes. Access to own beach was the main reason for choosing this hotel. The location of the hotel is excellent.

The beach umbrella and sunbeds in front of the hotel in fact are not free and you should pay an extra cost which was a bit surprising for us.

Very nice hotel with great location and spectacular sea view. We were accomodated in a room with а sea view even though we had booked a regular room which was a very kind gesture. The breakfast was very tasty. The staff was very polite and helpful.

The majesty of the building recalls the glories of the past, but there's an air of antiquity in the whole structure. Rooms would need a bit of restructuring. Be prepared to face some difficulties with parking. Breakfast is not as you would expect in a 4 stars.

The only thing which I didn't like is that they didn't say that we need to pay for sunbad while checking in. And that if someone cut or injured they don't have anything except of pads to close the cut. Man's in the beach just gave me towel to clean the blood from the leg. So the hotel should think more about emergency kit. Everything else was very good.

All of the people in the hotel were very kind. They helped with everything. It was very clean. They cleaned even few times per day and I didn't even know when exactly. Very comfortable rooms. Everything was good.

- During breakfast and dinner The teras was full with pigeons. They walked on cutlery. This was disgusting and even unhealthy. Please do something eg install some alarm ágainst pigeons - no free Parking and no free sunbed - sauna was COld during a rainy day , we could book The sauna for 12 Eurs

Toilet paper is really cheap. If you are used to a premium brand - Bring your own! The sunbed / parasol hire is rather pricy at 25 Eur/day for 2 beds and a brolly. And you'll need a brolly in mid summer! Not shortage of beds though. The shower space in the bath is very snug. No tea / coffee facility in room. Not an issue for us, but it may be for some. Car parking is in extremely short supply in Opatija, if you need a space, book it in advance. it's 20 eur/day. which is slightly cheaper than the on-street or parking garages. A bit of a pain to run into reception to ask them to activate the barrier every time you return to the hotel.

The room was comfortable, possibly may be considered basic. Clean and in good condition. The sea view rooms clearly used to have a balcony, which has now been incorporated into the rooms, Plenty of space in the room, if a slightly funny layout. Bathroom nice and clean.

I know it's common thing in Opatia, but I hate to pay extra for the sunbeds and ambrella. Other thing - although the room was spacious, the bathroom was very cramped.

The best thing about this hotel - their own big beach, that's why we booked it. Other things a pretty common - good enough for resting after swimming and sunbathing )

Slight remark:Since I was travelling with my mother 85 years old with disablity, it would be practical to find a possibility to extend the elevator to reach the beach level with elevator...I know it needs technical alterations, but since the hotel already has a now closed beach level exit, maybe it could be carried out without big building alterations.Now there are plenty of steps to reach the beach, which for healthy persons is not a problem, but for others it can be.

We got a great big room with view over the sea ant the port, beautiful sunsets and great fresh evening air.Comfortably big, good and comfortable beds, good TV section and channels, even small deskroom for work on the computer.Adaptive cleaning services, good change of towels.Meals wide ranged and delicious, nicely served.Beatiful beach with umbrellas for extra charge our without charge at the swimming pool section and terrace. Summary: very well runned and managed hotel.

The pigeons on the terrace while having breakfast, they flew around the tables and walked on them trying to grab the food from the plates.

The room was spacious and clean with great sea view. The hotel is near the center but enough out of it so it’s peaceful and quiet.

There were no rules how to use the safe.

I liked my room, which was clean and eqipped with everything necessary. I liked to have fridge and not mini bar. And the little balcony was great!

Excellent location, view from our room was amazing. Staff , food was exceptional. Indoor pool superb. Definitely if you are coming to Opatija you should stay in Kristal - Liburnia.
