My stay was short but very nice. The room was classic and comfortabele. The breakfast was amazing! I regret not having had diner as well. The price is worth the quality.

Nothing to do with the hotel. The beach is not sandy but still inviting for swimming.

Gorgeous 100 year old hotel with relaxing terrace, flowers everywhere. The buffet dinner was the best anywhere.

We had breakfast and dinner included, but beverages, even water, were not included in the dinner price, they had to be paid separately. It was a surprise for us when we paid the note, at the end of the holiday.

Very nice place! The coffee was amazing! The food was great!

We only took the breakfast package as half board included buffet dinners and we wanted to eat outside the property at many of the seafood, grill or pizza bars nearby on the waterside. The restaurant itself was a romantic setting with lovely flowers and a fountain - shame it wasn't a la carte. The beach charged a small fee to get in and was surrounded by wire fencing. There were free lounges for hotel guests but only after you paid to get past the fence and onto the beach. It was only 200m from the hotel but it was quite a steep walk up and down. The beach itself was very crowded and we preferred the serenity of the pool area and then walking and dining along the beach promenade in the early evening.

The large hotel pool area was beautiful with plenty of lounges, well kept gardens in this section and a nice little bar nearby. The spa and wellness centre also had another indoor pool and a great masseuse. The hotel was an historic, restored palace/villa with great architectural features and interesting decor. The rooms had very high ceilings and a view over the gardens to the sea. Most of the guests were Austrian or German but the staff went out of the way to assist us when most things were written only in German and Croatian. Parking was easy and free in the grounds of the hotel.

This was a dream hotel that combined comfort and luxury. Great food, drink and a marvelous terrace. The view of the Adriatic was breath taking.

menu was similar from day to day with one or two changes.

Selection of food was good, but could have been a bit more creative from day to day.

I would prefer a served, as of buffet, dinner, but, that said, the foood was outstanding indeed.

The staff work 10 hours per day. They attend to every requirement always with a smile. To be greeted first thing in the morning and last thing at night by the same 3 wait staff over 3 days says something about the wellness of staff and this should be addressed.

The majesty and history of this hotel were breathtaking. This hotel was advertised as 4 star when in fact it is 5 star. The palatial scale of the hotel and grounds with open 180 views to the Adratic, are breathtaking. The original name of the hotel wasTherapia and when you walk around and absorb the perfection of this place, it was built with the intention of wellness not just relaxation. Cleanliness, perfection and unprecedented service (without pomp) are outstanding hallmarks of your experience at this hotel. Please pass on my comments to the director of the hotel ( lovely lady by the way).

The staff at the desk should have explained the whole procedure in detais of staying there, such as eating, going to beach and so on, but they were a bit short.

My room was with a single bed but large and comfortable with a beautiful bathroom and a safe to lock up your valuables. Breakfast and dinner was served in an open space terrace with a beautiful view over gardens and the sea further on. The food was imaginative and plentyful.

The A/C is not very strong, i checked two different rooms and both seemed to have the same output in air which was very minimal. After spending all day in the sun swimming and coming back to your room you would like to walk into a cool A/C room. It did get hot at night but thats it.

Only a 2-5 minute walk to the beach, outstanding service, luxurious hotel and delicious food. But if that doesnt get you there is a lot of great places to eat at the city center which is only a 10 minute walk away as well as plenty of shops to look at and places to lounge.

Poolside service was kind of disappointing since we could not order cocktails until 4 pm. Price is on the high side.

Staff was excellent. Room was very nice with a lovely view of the ocean.

Although the hotel property has a primarily German speaking clientele, they should also have a English menu.

Beautiful setting, a grand old hotel yet very modern.

    - Attention: They do not accept American Express cards - only cash payment cards or cash - Background music at almost chamber-type - so you feel that you are at the memorial and not on vacation in Dalmatia - Hotel looks like you're in Austria and not in Dalmatia by the sea - Too early check-out (10.00), and too late check-in (15.00)

    - Extraordinarily decorated hotel - Great rooms and bathrooms in the rooms (in the bathrooms there are hanger on the door and the wall which is extremely rare in hotels at sea) - Hotel generally deserves better ratings than you can see them in reviews - Hotel parking is still finishing and probably will soon be fully operational
