Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyThe rooms need an update. You can hear absolutely everything your neighbor is doing. Unfortunately we were at the same time that a waterpolo competition was taking place and our corridor was crowded with teenagers full of energy at night, so our kids had not much sleep.
The staff was great. The maco building impressed us, not just the kids were under supervision, but the venues were amazing. An special recognition for the buffets (breakfast and dinner). Really good quality price for the dinner. The 6 years old did not pay, and the other 2 kids paid half menu. Taking into account the prices on Dubrovnik where you can pay more than 3 eur for an expresso, 35eur for a quality buffet (that had olive oild station, herbs and salts station, cheese station and much more) was more than reasonable.

United States of AmericaI wish I have known it’s slow season and they will close the next day. But it turned out we were having good time at their sister hotel
Very good breakfast. Front desk staff are very helpful. They helped us to transfer to another 5 star sister hotel because we had a late flight the next day and they are closed for 3 months.

United KingdomThat we couldn't stay longer!!
Everything about our stay was fabulous. It was my birthday during our visit & I was truly spoilt. The staff are so professional and friendly. Great facilities, excellent food and the most wonderful location for the coast and the Old Town (with a regular bus from the door step to central Dubrovnik) We upgraded to V Level service and it was extraordinary-we literally felt like royalty! It's definitely worth the small extra payment. We hope to return again as the hotel was so welcoming and there's such a lot to do and see in and around Dubrovnik. Great hotel, great people, great food, great facilities...and the views!! Thank you for an incredible and memorable stay.

Australiait is a little bit of a distance to old town, which may be of note to some travelers. there are many buses nearby that make it quick to get there. I chose to walk the 45-50minutes to see a bit more of the area, and really enjoyed the walk.
buffet breakfast and dinner had a fabulous selection. the room was huge and very comfortable bed and amenities available. I also used the day spa and other restaurants on site and they were also fantastic.

United KingdomThe decoration of the room was average however was very clean. The least satisfying thing about the stay at the hotel not the hotel itself but the beach - once you walk down to the beach which is shared exclusively among the Valamar Hotels, you have to pay to rent the sunbeds! Which was a total surprise, and not cheap either. I've never stayed at a hotel that you have to rent a sunbed on the private hotel beach. Also there is a section for the same type of sunbeds but in a "VIP" section which was sitting a metre from the other sunbeds, which a piece of rope separating which I found baffling.
The staff were amazing, I put in a special request to write a message to my partner in petals on the bed - and they did! Also leaving Happy Birthday alcoholic beverage with a message which was truly lovely. They completely exceeded my expectations with this. They also left another alcoholic drink on his actual birthday which was unexpected. You could tell that the staff/management really cared about the customers staying at their hotel. Transport buses to the Old Town were every 7 minutes, which was amazing! I've never come across a more efficient/convenient transport link before. Wish I had this back home!

UkraineOnly one minus to mention: food. Not bad, but not great. Breakfast provide wide variety of options but unfortunately most of them are quite bland and not quite tasty. Mint tea and croissants, as well as grill options, are great though! A la cart restaurant unfortunately has around the same level of food, so do not advise to book dinners there (unless there will be thunderstorm).
It was our first trip to Dubrovnik and this hotel seem to be the wonderful choice to stay. Rooms are great and views are amazing. The most amazing thing is a location - it is far from the streets of the main city, with its own parks that are great for walks, and perfect sunset view every night. You can use teritories and amenities of all four Valamar hotels nearby - President's beach (be sure to take your roomcard to uses elevator, but no need to pay for sunbeds and umbrellas, you cand find place without it. also, this is one beach with great entrance to the see and no sea urchins!), Tirena's waterslides and fun pool (it might be designed mostly for chidlren, but there is bar and great variety of sunbeds to relax), and Argosy's amazing pools (what a view!!) and deliciuos menu at pool snack bar (those pizza's are really enough for two, the most tasty food at Valamar). There are really a lot of dinner/lunch options nearby - there is "mall" near Argosy hotel (Asia is must visit), and if you turn left from the President hotel, you'll be at the start of the famous Promenade - lovely evening walk with lots of great restaurant on the both sides (try tuna steak in "More" and fish plate in "Tramuntana"). There are other beach options nearby, including known Capocabana beach, but we went there only once as there are uncomfortable entrance, too many people (it's public beach) and most dangerous - sea urchins, so take your seashoes. And if you want ot visit the city - the bus#6 stops just outside the hotel. You can buy the first ticket in the hotel, but then it's most beneficial to buy Dunbornik pass that includes dozens off locations (City walls tickets alone costs the same) PLUS free rides or the whole time of the pass.
