Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

No lift, not very fluent communication in English, but not an issue.
Good location to explore the area. Extraordinary breakfast. Great balcony with sea view to see the amazing sunset.

Unfortunately there was no elevator and we were on the 2nd floor. A lot of steps. But this was the exercise of the day! :) We lacked an extra chair or other piece of furniture to hang our clothes on. We also missed a washing line in the shower to hang up wet swimwear and wet towels.
We booked 3 nights first and got a room with a kingsize bed but unfortunately without a balcony. :( We tried to change but the hotel was fully booked. It was a newly renovated room (the whole building was very modern). The room was equipped with a small fridge and water-boiler and cups. This was great! Fresh toilet and shower. The beach was just across the road. The breakfast was marvelous! A good variation of different choices from different bread, egg & bacon, vegetables, cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, fresh cakes, juice, coffee / tea. We enjoyed our stay so we extended our stay for another 2 nights. :) Nice and serviceminded staff.

Hotel felt a little tired and the on site bar and restaurant didnt really seem open at all when we were there.
Friendly staff and great location for climbing in the national park. Also really convenient for walking down to bars/restaurants at night.

No blinding curtains so a lot of light came in. The person at the reception was also the person preping for room cleaning, long wait checking out made me late for my appointment and was a frustrating end to a lovely stay.
Wonderful location, close to the beach and mountains. Hotel was better than what I expected. Breakfast was awesome. Free parking. Dog friendly.

I'm not sure if it's a common thing in Croatia, but the hostess wanted to keep our IDs till the morning, and this shouldn't happen in today's world anymore. Unless you're in russia or belorusia perhaps and staying in a kgb hotel. The room had a weird smell, my wife and 7 y.o. son described it as "old cat lady's savor". The AC was working very loudly (had something touching something inside) so we were forced to switch it off and open the window (ground floor) for the night. The street in the night was OK, but someone came into the yard at 530AM, idled for few moments then left at full throttle.
Our family were staying here for one night when we were coming back from Croatia's North to Split. Didn't expect much - didn't get surprised. First nice thing we've got was a roof for our car. Then quite comfortable beds and pillows. Then a nice and tasty breakfast with some options for full stomach. Nice hosts, spacious rooms.

Although we had a kettle and cups in our room there was no tea or coffee provided.
The staff were so helpful and delightful and very friendly. We had wonderful views over the sea with a lovely balcony. The bed was wonderfully comfortable. The food was good and plenty of choice for the buffet breakfast available.

Very nice, small and friendly hotel. Everyone was helpful. Breakfast was beyond all expectations. The property has it's own beach, that was a bonus. Overall good value for money. I would definitely recommend.

A very nice family run Hotel next to the beach. Very clean, stuff extraordinary nice and helpful and delicious breakfast. Besides they offer sunbeds at the beach.

Hotel Vicko and its staff exceeded our expectations. The room was clean, the breakfast was superb. Staff was welcoming, warm, and kind. We suggest the stay in hotel to everyone!

The hotel is from the 70s (I guess) which itself is fine except for bathrooms - they really felt old although still functional.
An okay hotel (in a good sense). Nothing really special about this hotel. If you are looking for a place to sleep then this one will do. I mean, you'll get a good night sleep but you'll forget the hotel the moment you leave it. Breakfast was great!!!
