The hosts were wonderful, they took a real interest in making our stay as nice as possible. The room was brilliant, a great size, comfortable and with a fantastic view. Also, a delicious and varied breakfast served on the terrace was a perfect start to each day.

No kettle in bedroom ... no English tea at breakfast ... staff tired and not very friendly .. no bar ... more shabby than chic ... not 4* standard .. expensive for what it was .. wouldn't stay there again

The pool was nice and Lopud is beautiful

No bar or restaurant open in the hotel, but plenty of great places within a few minutes walk. The room was fairly basic but not much time spent there with the island and Dubrovnik to explore!

Great location right by the small harbour for easy access to the ferry. Minutes away from all the restaurants The staff were really welcoming.

Although the outside of this property looks amazing, the best days are certainly behind it. It is tired, dated and old fashioned. I feel the new hotel on the Island (other side of the bay) has really damaged business for this hotel. Booked a room with a view of the Park and ended up with a view of someones back yard.

There was a younger guy at the reception who wasn't the most professional person but overall it was really fine.

The house is maybe slightly "faded glory" but it's just a perfect fit with the rest of the island. I'm so happy we stayed at this island of Lopud and not in Dubrovnik. And I'm really happy we stayed at this hotel. It made me smile. The boat trip from Dubrovnik to Lopud is 1 hour but it is beautiful when you take the boat in the evening. Just wow!

Superb setting on the beautiful island of Lopud. Amazing views from our room and the terrace. Short walk to some great restaurants. Easy journey to the wonderful Sunj beach. Staff friendly and accommodating.

Very small niggles - the bathroom flooded a little when we used the shower & the wifi signal was weak.

The staff were very welcoming, the breakfast was amazing & the setting in Lopud was gorgeous. The pool was a short walk up a path - but very quiet & peaceful.

Perfect spot, right next to the ferry point. Elegant, quiet, incredible terrace view, delicious home-made cakes. Great island to get away from the crowds and enjoy a peaceful few days.

Lack of on site bar but in all honesty plenty within 100m .

Excellent hostess, very attentive even gave us homemade cakes when she caught us going back to our room. Very clean and homely, ideal for quite relaxation in comfortable and friendly environment.

Our air conditioning didn't work, but we were immediately offered another room, which was great as quite noisy with windows open with harbour boats & bells going all nght.

It was a great spot close to harbour. View from the terrace was amazing. Staff very helpful.

We did not feel welcome at all, nobody to drag your bags up the staircase, nobody to welcome you or give any sort of information it was very noisy, from 7 am onwards room adequate but small, air conditioning not properly working, shower very small and leaking breakfast leaves a lot to be desired, unfriendly and unhelpful stuff It was the first time that the average rating on booking.com was completely false in my opinion Pool nowhere near the house Garden rather unkept, lounge chairs and umbrellas inappropriate The only thing this hotel is going for it is its location Very disappointing

The island is very beautiful and Sunj Beach is a perfect place to spend your days

Bathroom a tiny bit tired but otherwise the warmth of the welcome and the stunning location more than compensate for any shortcomings. If you don't love it here you really do have a problem!

The location was idyllic and the owner could not have been more helpful or welcoming. The breakfast was lovely and served outside overlooking the beautiful bay. We were allowed to keep use of the room until the late ferry for no extra charge which made a huge difference to our stay.

The terrace bar was not in use which was a shame as the terrace is a lovely place to sit and watch the sun go down, so we took our own drinks out there., Sadly the hotel no longer provides a restaurant service either. The swimming pool is on the other side of the gardens, up a short hilly path, beside the hotel's apartments. This made it feel a little inaccessible. There was also no bar service or staff up there.

This is a charming old fashioned villa that feels like a home rather than a hotel. The owner had family staying and there was a happy vibe about the place. The room was large with good air conditioning and light and airy with the shutters open despite there not being a balcony.

Lots of stairs and no lift to the top floor.

Amazing location just near the ferry jetty. Quiet patio with stunning views over the bay. Big back garden with sunloungers and pool. Welcoming team. Nice buffet breakfast with local specialities. Feels friendly and personal.

Needs to up its style game a bit. Filling the mini bar and providing in room information on the hotel and island would also be good. Never did find the pool

Lovely location and quirky hotel. The owner is very gracious. Comfortable, but well worn facility. Nice and extensive breakfast buffet. I'd stay again.

Such a pity they don't do dinner in the evening any more. A kettle in the bed room and tea making equipment would have been nice.

The Villa is just a few metres from the port. We were welcomed by a young man at reception called Johnny whose English was good. Our room had a view of the harbour and the bay and our bed was extremely comfortable.

Bedrooms were small and lacked character.

Wonderful breakfasts: good coffee with hot milk; cooked egg; cold buffet with lots of fresh fruit, local pastries, yoghourt, cereals - eaten on shaded terrace looking across the bay. Great location: very close to ferry and a swimming area also to paths leading to rest of island. Private garden with shade and recliners. Sitting room. With good choice of books.
