Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

We liked the location in a leafy area of Budapest on Andrassy, walking distance to Hero's Square and the surrounding City Park, and the Szechenyi Thermal Baths. The hotel was tucked away on a quiet side street and our room had a little balcony where we would sit for our morning coffee. The hotel was very peaceful and comfortable, and a very good value for the nice accommodations. It is fair distance to walk to the Parliament Building (about 2.7 km) and the other sights along the river, but doable. It is also convenient to a metro stop. For those wanting a location near Hero's Square this is an excellent choice.

This was such a beautiful place to stay. Fabulous location for the city park, heroes square, the thermal baths and much more…. The room was lovely, the staff go above and beyond and the food in the restaurant (and service) is excellent. Such a great find…, highly recommend!

United KingdomHaving to pay HUF 500 for each coffee pod provided - I've never been charged for pods in any other hotel that provides a machine.
Very comfortable room and bathroom. Really good choice at breakfast, although some of the hot buffet items were lukewarm (eggs, baked beans). Good to have a coffee machine, but see my other comment. In a nice quite location with transport links close by. Very helpful reception staff.
