How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Verified reviewBig, tall, beautiful room.
It needs some repairs, dressings with broken shelves and a lot of dust inside; doors that don’t close. The biggest problem for us was the main door at the apartment that didn’t stayed shut and was close to impossible to be locked and we had dogs with us :(

Verified review- very spacious
- There were at least 2 cockroaches and a big bumblebee or something in the apartment - The apartment (and especially the lower main floors ground) is very cold. I don’t know how this comes. This is very weird with the current temperatures outside. The air conditioner barely heats up the room (only the top area, where the second bed is, as hot air rises and the apartment is very high), the heater on the lower floor takes ages to heat to reach a maximum of 20C in the lower (main) floor - The sink in the shower does not work very well, the water on the floor is rising very fast - One of the doors they show you to leave and enter the building seems to be not meant to actually pass through. The first time I wanted to leave there, I had to unwire a wire to pass through. And the next morning when I wanted to leave, the wire was so stuck, that it was impossble to remove it from the inside, such that I had to turn around and take the other exit

Verified reviewWe've been accommodated in a huge apartment. It was clean and comfortable.
The apartment had jacuzzi and hydro-massage shower, which unfortunately did not work at all. Also, we had to leave early but because there was not anyone at the reception we had to stay to wait to hand over the key. We skipped the breakfast as it wasn't served until 9:00

Verified reviewGood air condition in the room. Good restaurant on the ground floor. Central location in town (main square). Small fridge in the room. Beautiful, restored old buiding.
We asked for separate beds in the room - instead we got double beds in each room. There was no hot water in the bath. No water at all in the washbasin. Lack of personnel at the reception - the same lady served as receptionist and waiter in the restaurant (queues despite low circulation, long times to wait). Reception from 10am to 8pm.

Verified reviewThis hotel is in a good location on the town square. The place is very clean and quiet. There is lots of hot water and the air conditioning and wifi work well. There is no lobby, at all, so no where to sit and relax. You check in at the restaurant and walk through the restaurant to get to your room. Even so, the place seemed deserted and gloomy. No one ever working at the bar and as far as I could tell the restaurant has limited hours.
The grey building in the pictures on booking.com are some other hotel that was never open. This place has a few small rooms above a restaurant. It is next door to the grey building in the photos. The pictures of the restaurant are old. The beautiful decor has been replaced with a crass, drab, cheap, grey modern style, the kind found in bus station toilets. Something lower class for sure.

Verified reviewComfortable room, clean and very helpful staff. We stayed at the largest accomandation available at the hotel.
It could occur that the booked room is not ready at checkin time, but it was worth the wait.

Verified reviewGreat location in the heart of the town
Do not rent the "city view" room; no coffee maker, no glasses, no toiletries. The other (less expensive) rooms looked much better, and they contain two separate beds, not just two twin beds pushed together with two comforters which in Europe counts as "two beds". Note there is no elevator and the rooms are on the second floor. We did not get breakfast, which we were counting on. Parking in the back but the entry way is very narrow - our economy car just fit through.
