It was a bit loud from the street, also I would recommend to add more dishes and frying pan for cooking, otherwise everything is great

Since it is a big shared building, the entrance is probably not in the hands of the person who rents out these rooms, but it’s really old and dodgy. It was a shame the wifi wasn’t working properly, and we had a couple of suggestions that we will send to the owner. Nothing to worry about when you’re booking one of these rooms.

Though the entrance of the building (ugly old door and dark old hall/stairs) were preparing us for the worst, the room itself was a big treat. It was all according to the discription and photos on the Booking-page. The owner knows how to uplift an old buildings room in a modern way.

Lack of reponsiveness from the owners with regard to fixing issues. We reported several issues upon arrival and never received a response. Reviewing other comments we see that these problems have been outstanding for months and have not been attended to. The main bathroom light bulbs need replacement - the over sink light is the only light in the bathroom that works. The kitchen light does not work. The main light has 12 bulbs, only 2 of which work properly, 2 don't work at all and the remaining 8 barely glow. There are no bedside lights (as shown in the photos). There are no towel rails in the bathroom and nowhere to hang towels to dry after a shower. The apartment door cannot be locked from the inside (as though it requires a different key). There is no table at which to sit if you want to write or use a computer. The communal part of the staircase in not very clean and building debris from another apartment has been left on the landing (admittedly not the fault of the apartment owners but rather detracting from the overall experience). The above points are disappointing for what is otherwise a really excellent place to stay. Owners please take note and take action.

Fantastic location within a short distance of the Fisherman's Bastion and the Buda Castle plus the better side of the river for a walk along to see the parliament building all lit up. The citadel is also about a half hour walk away, albeit with quite a climb, but at present it is undergoing major engineering works so the trip is worthwhile for the great views over the whole city. Although not in the hub of the city we found the local restaurants to be excellent with the Corvin Gastropub being particularly good. Excellent fast WiFi (over 300mbps in both directions). A shop selling general groceries is within 5 minutes walk as are several pubs.

Only offered one very small blanket plus some children’s blankets. Only one towel for a 3 nights stay. Some of the listed items were missing: no kettle, no robes.

Easy access to public transport. Near Matthias Church and Buda Castle.

One of the room was cold, unfortunately. We needed to open the door of the other room so the heat come out, but late is the morning is not so comfortable because we have to interrupt the sleep of the kid in the warm room. In the bathroom there is no place to hold a towel so it can be easily used or dried. We have towels in the apartment but they were a little bit depreciated. We didn’t have any soap for washing hands in one of the bathrooms.

The overall property was very good. The host let us early check-in and late check-out. It is very wide and cosy with a lot of room to sleep. Very comfortable bed.

It was tricky on initial entry as it was very dark once inside the building and there were stone circular steps to the apartment. Maybe point out that there is a light switch on the inside wall after entry.

The situation at the foot of the castle and opposite a park area was great. It was quiet and the room was warm. Loved the bathroom too.

There was a hiccup with the wifi the first night when I arrived, but the host responded very quickly considering it was after 10pm when I checked in. However, the hiccup was due to a messaging issue with Booking.com, nothing to do with the host. The issue was fixed by the next morning anyway, so no real issue in the end. Everything else was great!

I loved my room at Balance Green Door. The location was perfect, just steps away from everything, from restaurants, the Danube River, Matthias Church, Fisherman's Bastion, Buda Castle, groceries etc. My room was beautiful and I felt so completely comfortable in it. Having the fridge and stove top, plus an electric cordless kettle was so convenient! The room is decorated so nicely and spacious considering a kitchen area fits in it. The communication with the host was fast and easy. The response to my questions were quick, efficient and effective. The room was very bright when you drew the blinds, perfect for me, and at night, although it was on a street in the heart of everything, it was nice and quiet, and dark for sleeping. I loved my stay and would highly recommend it and I will definitely stay here again if I head back to Budapest. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The communication with the owner. We had some complaints and at once tried contacting the owner by text and booking messages, but we didnt get any response until the last day of our stay. It was very frustrating and unpleasant, because we didnt have proper heating, nor wifi, while in a foreign country with nobody to call. Two wifi routers didnt work so we couldnt use the internet at all. The heating was bad. There is only air conditioning, which was not nearly enough to warm the whole space. Also, the lock didnt work from the inside of the apartment, so we couldnt lock the doors at night. And if any of the listed things were due to our lack of knowledge, the owner could have answered our texts and helped us, but unfortunately that was not the case.

The location is good and the apartment looks good, its mainly* clean, and spacious. *The pillowcases and some od the towels had stains on them.

The location is excellent, we are very close to the Fisherman's Bastion and the Széchenyi Lánchíd Bridge, which allows us to quickly access the other side of the river: Pest. Supermarkets very near, the first is SPAR at 850m. We have transport very near to the apartment. Regarding cleaning, it was impeccable, it is a simple but VERY cozy apartment, we have everything we need for a comfortable stay. From towels, to shower gel, washing up liquid, basic utensils for cooking something simple. We stayed in Budapest for a week and said several times that our choice couldn't be better. We were able to visit many tourist attractions on foot. My congratulations to the owners and the team that manages this apartment, from the message with the codes, to the information provided, everything is incredible. If one day we return to Budapest, we know perfectly where to return!! Thanks.

The location is perfect in the Buda part between Buda castle and Fisherman's Bastion, but the street was quiet. The apartment was very clean and very nicely furnished. I recommend.

The best part of the room is a wide and comfortable windowsills with pillows where you can seat with a cup of coffee and enjoy the street view. Also the Wi-Fi worked perfectly.
