I was disappointed that our booking was transferred to the Exe Budapest Center Hotel due to circumstances beyond the control of management at the Exe Carlton. We were given the same terms as our original booking. Would have liked to stay in the more historical area of Budapest but have no complaints about the accommodations we received or the service provided by the hotel.

I was overcharged for city tax., That I already paid through this booking. Though there was a "free" pick up ride from the airport the person who picked me up I drove to the wrong location, then charged me to drive to the hotel.

We spent 50 Euro to go to the Exe Carlton Hotel Budapest, after we were quoted 44 Euro. The driver dropped us and our luggage at the street above the entrance to the hotel and took off. We dragged our 2 large suitcases & 2 carry-ons down the hill on cobblestoned streets to the main door which had a sign saying this hotel no longer accommodates guests and to call a number. This hotel is closed and we had the hotel Exe Business Centre Hotel send us a cab which cost another 10,000 forents to be taken to that hotel, which honoured our reservation. We also had to drag our 4 suitcases back up the hill to the street to catch that cab. The Exe Carlton has been closed for months and we should have been notified of the change of address long before we made the expensive trip from the airport to the closed hotel and then pay more to go to the hotel that is accepting guests. I will be advising everyone NOT to use Booking.com because of the additional expense, aggravation and stress caused because your records are not current.

Bookin should have known about the closure of Exe Carlton in Budapest and let us know. Awful. I could find no way to communicate our predictament to Bookin so they could help. When I went to customer service I was cinfronted with a list of irrelevant options that did not address our problem by and no way to get an immediate response or help. You must fix this

The hotel was closed and locked up when we were dropped off by the taxi driver. We could not reach Bookin and we were in quite a pickle..Your customer service contact options are awful. How did you not know the hotel was out of business and had been so for weeks? Unforgivable. We are now worried about a reservation in Amsterdam we made through in two weeks at the end of our cruise. We were very thankful that Hotels.com could find us a hotel with a room available, or we would have been on the street.

We were booked to stay at the Exe Carlton Hotel but we were moved to their sister hotel on the other side of the river due to renovation works - Eurostars Budapest Center. This was a brilliant hotel, room very clean on arrival and cleaned every day of our stay. Had all the facilities we required for a long weekend. Brilliant location (we preferred this new location as was in the more lively location central to everything on the Pest side of the river). Staff were all very pleasant! Would highly recommend and return if we were to ever come back to Budapest (which is highly likely, we loved it) Thanks for such a brilliant stay!

The hotel is closed for two years for the maintenance, and we had to go another hotel, who took responsibility for this order. It was good we were with a car. But if somebody comes with a taxi, removes all his stuff and release the taxi... Booking.com should alarm people that hotel is changed.
