In the add was double bed. It was a single bed. 90/200. Good that I was not a bit overweight otherwise I wouldn't have fitted in the bed. Extremely tick walls. I could hear people from the 3rd floor during the night. Breakfast extremely modest. The sugar support wasn't clean. I could barely used it. Btw. I know how a 2 stars hotel looks like.

Overall was a nice stay. Very nice and professional staff. I would congratulate the night shift guard. He did very well regarding the incidents from the night when I was there. And they were alot of them.

The breakfast was poor, coffe from the vendor machine.They don't have espresso machine. No shampoo in the bathroom. We had to pay 20 euro warranty for the aircondition remote. Old furniture in the room. It was too expensive for what they offer.

Not very comfortable double bed. Foreign smells from the bathroom. The spontaneously turning on air conditioner was noisy and heated the air in the room to an uncomfortably warm temperature. The remote control for the air conditioner is missing. Soundproofing is low.

- old furniture in room - no glasses in the room, no tea, no coffee, no bottle of water - wifi not secured - small bathroom - only Hungarian channels on TV - old towels - bars in the window - parking paid additional 10 EUR - poor breakfast - no tomato, no cucamber, no paprika, no salami - in Hungary!?

Dark corridor, there was no light on the way to room. Missing cattle at room to warm the water... Window glass were not sound proof... Entire night we heard traffic noise.

Breakfast was good... Hotel should add more vegetarian items.

Hotel was pretty good for the price (comparing to other hotels that Booking offered me) but nothing to be excited about. It looks like only a part of the hotel is operational . If you need just the room to sleep during visit and generic hotel bufet for breakfast (Instant coffee from machine, for example) it is a good choice. Hotel is obviously older, but well maintained.

Breakfast was good, but I would not like to eat those same things for more than 2-3 days. Transport to town center, Keleti rail station or nearest Subway station is excellent - hotel is located on the main thoroughfare with many and frequent busses. Use 24h ticket or family ticket. There are grocery stores nearby, several transport hubs walkable distance, you can walk to the castle or center of Buda.

If you get a room on the roadside, it is a bit loud. Luckily as I am POOR, I already can handle the traffic. IT IS MY LULLABY. BUT if you are bugged by passing cars, turn on the ac and close the windows or get some ear plugs. It's not so bad..but be alerted. But for this money...in Budapest..its a small price to pay. I mean you should already be super tired from all the walking and sightseeing.

Hotel Bara is a little piece of history. You will feel the joy of being a communist hotel with the unmistakable vibe of a school trip when you were 15! AND this is not bad at all. Bara has nice parking so you don't worry about your car. The staff is nice, they extended our stay for an hour. You need to bring your own shampoo and washing gel, but you get a drier at the reception. Just ask for it. There's a gas station around the corner, it has anything you would need. The beds are nice and comfy, they gave us a 4-bed room for 3 people, so we had a lot of space. Transportation can get tricky, but JUST WALK and get a BOLT TAXI when coming back. LOCAL taxis will scam the euros, dollars, forints, whatever so easily. Oh and there's a bus...148 I think that is directly in front of Bara..sooo :D
