Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyAir condition was a bit loud. And the music from the square anoyed a bit. But all in all, a real good hotel.
Room was big and nicely decorated. Location is perfect, right at the old town's main square. And the breakfast was delicious.

United States of AmericaTo be honest, the property doesn’t have an elevator, but it’s kind a trick going up the cylindrical stairs. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize the weekend I booked was a big wine and music festival but that was not the properties fault.
I love the old style and charm at the Hotel overlooking the oboe square, the center of the town. It takes you back into previous centuries of beauty Hungry.

Central location in the small downtown of Eger. I love to support small family owned business - so this charming little hotel was a very good choice for us. Good breakfast, comfortable beds, fair price.

Location, Location, Location! Front door opens directly onto the main square. Nice continental breakfast. More restaurants near by than you can shake a stick at. Very clean rooms. Would stay again in a minute again. Off street parking is available. Very important.

Fabulous location in the heart of Eger - walking distance to most everything you want to see. Funky old hotel, with walls covered with antiques and old photographs. We had a lovely corner room with view over the main square. Windows that opened to let in fresh air. If you are looking for chrome and a square room that could be anywhere in the world, this is not it. If you are looking for character, great staff, comfort, with modern bathroom, TV, WIFI, good breakfast included, family operated, this is for you. Our second stay here and looking forward to the next time.

Israelthe breakfast is only the minimum but actually all i needed was there. Coffee cheese cornflakes fruits bread yogurts. They make scrambled eggs We stayed 2 days the first one we had no croissants no cake at all. The second one we had a homemade cake. For me it was ok. In the room there were 3 windows and the isolating curtain was not enough close to the window so that there was a gap and there was light early in the morning coming from the gap. We always wake up early so it didnt really bother us but if you like to sleep late it may be an issue... there is no free parking near the hotel. the hotel parking is expensive so we didnt use it. There is a free parking out of the center 1km we put our car there for 2 days since we didnt need it.
The hotel looks like a museum. Very beautiful with really ancient furnitures and pictures full of history. The room is comfortable and spacious. It is right in the center of the central place. Near to everything. Dont need the car to visit the town. It is well equiped with a kettle and cups if you want to drink tea and everything you need. The host was very nice to us. It was raining so he lent us umbrella to use. I enjoyed my stay at the hotel and i would come back if i will be in egger again. Its a beautiful town.

BulgariaVery curious place, just below the castle. If you are interested in history, this is your place. Not ordinary, it is a place to remember. It's a 300-year-old house, more a museum than a hotel.

HungaryI actually didn't mind this, but perhaps someone would, so I write it here. There is a music school next door and you can really hear it through the walls. Our room was directly up against the music school wall. I personally thought it romantic to listen to someone play Debussy on the piano as I watched the morning light shine into the room. But perhaps this will bother some people, so I thought to write it down here. Or make sure to ask for a room further away from the school, if this could potentially bother you.
The location couldn't have been better. 2 steps from everywhere. Breakfast was superb. I could barely hold back from stuffing myself. The room was clean and comfortable, quiet at night. Cozy and sweet. I have nothing negative to say about this hotel. Would stay here again. The owners were helpful, kind, and lovable. The hotel has a lovely atmosphere where you really feel the history of the place.
