How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Verified reviewWhoever painted the art on the walls did a great job and it made the room fun and unique. There was plenty of storage. I had hot water for showers. The electric kettle is a plus for having coffee while getting ready in the morning. The aircon worked well, and the bed and pillows were comfortable.
Everything was clean except the floor. It must have been mopped with really dirty water because after moving around in the room my feet were disgusting. I had to wash my feet before bed each night.

Verified reviewPerfect location, 6 minute walk to the port & short walking distance to the beach. Super friendly and helpful staff - helped us organize bicycles and a snorkelling trip. Breakfast included is great from EGO. Great value for money
Room & bathroom could be a bit cleaner. The bathroom is quite moldy and old which is the only downside really.

Verified reviewNice room close to everything, but quiet. It has AC, good internet connection and it’s private toilet. You can rent bikes here as well. The breakfast is provided in a beautiful coffee shop with sea view.
My room got flooded the only night it rained, but the staff solved it quickly. Every time I wanted to take a shower, I had to talk to the staff to fix the water pressure because it was nonexistent.

Verified reviewComfortable beds, showers were nice mostly warm, staff were very lovely, pool looked nice
There was torrential rain one evening, obviously not the staffs fault, but the paths around the hotel all flooded to the point where the water came over onto the patio areas outside the rooms and multiple rooms got flooded with about an inch of water. The staff were very helpful and were rushing around trying to help everyone, they moved me to a new dry room, not ideal but the staff did the best they could with the circumstances.

Verified reviewStaff were very friendly Location was ideal close to strip Close to port and lots of restaurants around
We got locked out of our room on the first night because of a separate lock that was on the inside that fell when we closed the door there was no one at reception this was around 2:00 in the morning they did arrive after we rang them and they unscrewed the door to let us in but probably not a good idea to have that kind of lock on the inside if it can easily lock people out, while waiting for the door to be opened we got lots of mosquitos bites Just be aware if anyone is coming for a quiet stay there are lots of kids screaming around the pool area for hours possibly the staff’s kids as I don’t think they are guests staying there

Verified reviewThe accomodation was fantastic. The room is pretty big, the toilet is ok. Ac working fine. The location is excellent. 2 min walk to the main street, with all the restaurants and bars. Around the corner is an excellent warung with really good and cheap food. We stayed for a week and extend 1 more night 😂

Verified reviewMum and two kids travelling The rooms were really big and spacious was great for a few nights with my children they enjoyed the pool. The front desk has limited English but that didn’t impact us. It’s easy to walk from the port as we didn’t want to use the poor horses so that was a bonus for us. The breakfast was average but filling and it is located down on the beachfront in a restaurant. If you’re a big foodie then suggest buying your own breakfast from somewhere else but for us it was fine. Must do: Eat chocolate pancakes from the vendors on the beachfront Walk across or hire a bike to the other side of the island it’s a lovely walk. We couldn’t find bikes that would fit the kids (they were all too big for my 10 year olds) We went to a place called Rabbit jump club which was pretty fun for the kids they had a great time off the diving boards not something we would normally do but was a fun day. Be sure to be there at sunset it was beautiful. We had a great time swimming off Turtle beach and saw 25 turtles right off the shore. Do a day trip to gilli Meno so chilled Snorkling Cheap tickets sold down on the water front for a day of snorkelling which was fun but if we did it again as a family we would’ve got a private tour so that we could spend longer at the spots we liked and perhaps stop where there was fewer people was quite hectic - hire the GoPro it was well worth it!
It was a very cheap property quite central so easy to get to and to walk to from the port - but the bathrooms were fine but not overly pleasant. We are not worried about that kind of stuff. And the bed size and the room size made up for it.

Verified reviewGreat little budget hotel , close to everything , easy 10 min walk from the harbour , staff all great and very helpful , room clean & great hot water , nice pool only about 9 rooms make sure you turn over do not disturb sigh if you want your room cleaned , lots of power points in your room
Prayers from the mosque it is really loud here and the lane next to the property is very noisy, the place really needs updating it is very shabby and my main problem was no privacy it really needs net curtain or you will have to sit in your room with the curtains closed or all glass should be like room 4 extra dark glass or shade cloth hanging in front of the room , aircon so so

Verified reviewVery good value for money accommodation with a small courtyard and swimming pool. There was no breakfast included so they refunded me a small portion of the booking price. The staff is very helpful and communicated with me via WhatsApp before my arrival to assist me with my needs. They walked me to the snorkeling point and got me a really nice bicycle to rent while I was on the island. I am tempted to stay here again if I ever come back to Gili T. Location is just perfect! They even gave me their own tips as to where they eat local meals or where to see sunset best.
My only feedback is that the pool area can be crowded with people who I am not sure are guests or not, but drinking by the pool, leaving no space for others to swim. You also need to be explicit with asking for your room to be cleaned or to get more water.

Verified reviewClean and in good condition. The staff were great! Helping make space to park my bike, told me the cheapest place to buy a ferry ticket and at what time the boats run. And just general kindness. They also have NO roosters/chickens running around so you’re able to get a good nights sleep! Location is also great! Close to the main street but you can’t hear any of the party noise.

Verified reviewThe hotel is right in the center of the island, close to everything, they offer to rent bike it’s convenient. The room is clean, bathroom too.
It’s a bit expensive but you are on a island so it’s understandable
