Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaNothing. The location could be a problem for some as on the edge of town on high side but also provided the wonderful view. We hired a scooter from the property so was not a problem. We walked into town last day and was a pleasant 15 minute walk using the shortcut on public path to the Stadium.
Sri and Moses were very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was substantial and varied each day prepared by Sri and even included Vegemite!! The room we had was on the top floor with a great view over Bajawa, the Bajawa Roo penthouse!

SpainThe room was super clean, spacious, cozy and comfortable, perfect for a good rest after a day exploring Bajawa. But the best of the place are the women managing it: the oldest daughter spoke the best English we have heard in Indonesia so far, which was very helpful. She and her mother were extremely kind, efficient and decisive. They arranged our transport to Labuanbajo perfectly and made it all easy for us, and gave us some oil for the back pain when I was feeling unwell. We would definitely recommend it!

AustraliaFor the price I have no complaints.
I am basing my review on the price of the property. It is not expensive and was what I was expecting. We stayed 2 nights. It is an older property but was clean. The bed was comfortable and room was spacious enough. Hot water for a shower and a hairdryer. Nothing was broken. The breakfast fills you up and is satisfactory. The staff were friendly. The view is amazing! It is a 15-20 min walk to the Main Street. We really liked the feel of Bajawa and enjoyed walking around. For a good restaurant try Kartini Restaurant. Closest restaurant to the hotel and a lovely place to eat.

IndiaAh, somehow, I find myself fortunate. I’ve heard many complaints about the stay options on Flores, but I’ve found all of them great, and the people are incredibly warm and welcoming. Bajawa Roo was no exception. The entire family and the staff (basically interns from tourism schools) were fantastic. Shree was the best. We chatted a lot throughout my stay and became great friends. Shree introduced me to IGGY, a character. He took me on tours of the traditional village and gave me a firsthand experience. Because of him, a family in Bena Village invited me to their home, and we had a great time together. They even gifted me a souvenir as I left. The rooms are basic but very clean. For a remote town like Bajawa, they’re doing the best they can, and people should be considerate of them. The rooftop dining area offers an incredible view of the entire town, and if the weather permits, even a clear view of Mount Inerie. On one particularly sunny day, I spent a few hours simply relaxing and enjoying the views, sipping on soju. BEST TIME. They serve simple breakfasts in the morning comprising of - Toast/Eggs/Pancakes/Fruits/Coffee. If you want dinner, inform them before - Shree prepares delicious stir fried egg noodles. I stayed here for two days and thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

The hotel is placed on the little hill and has a great panorama view over the town - this is definitely a highlight. Staff is really helpful and kind. They have helped me with organizing transport to Riung and Aimere. They will be able to get you a scooter or a guide. Food portions are really good and owner’s wife happily prepared for me additional meals for reasonable price. Rooms are spacious and have functional furniture which is not a usual thing. In the room you will find a fridge with a mini bar.

United StatesA little better room ventilation/fan and maybe another power outlet. It’s above town slightly, so daytime sounds are full of local color, including school music practice, call to prayers, etc. but we enjoyed feeling the vibe of the community and it was quiet at night.
Great little hotel up the hill a bit overlooking Bajawa. The room was very comfortable with minibar, kettle, fridge, and two nice seats and table, as well as bench and table outside on patio. The owner is fantastic and made everyone feel at home and cared for. Breakfast was good and the friendly travelers vibe was the best we found on Flores. We slept great and really enjoyed Bajawa and the area, as it’s tidy houses, well kept gardens, and friendly people.

Australia- We had a little trouble with the bathroom toilet pump. However, once highlighted it was quickly rectified.
- The hotel is situated within the bamboo hillside which overlooks the town so has lovely views. We stayed on NYE so had a great view of the fireworks happening across the town. - Friendly staff. The hotel is run by a local family and were very engaging to make conversation. - Food was basic but very tasty and home-made style. - Big and spacious room, including a shared balcony space. - Provided a laundry service which was reasonably priced. - Good value for money overall.

NetherlandsVery nice place for adventuring Bajawa. Walking distance from the center of Bajawa. Moses the host is very helpful with tours and transport and has lots of information about the region. It’s placed on the hill so you have a view over the city… easy to visit the Vulcano and all the beautiful traditional villages and the hotsprings.

United KingdomThis place has an excellent rooftop dining area. I only had breakfast there but it was good with views over the town . The room was decent enough. I stayed an extra night so it must’ve been okay. I was on a road trip with a driver and to be honest got fed up with too much driving and liked Bajawa. I found some fascinating walks by turning left out of the hotel and going up the hill and then left again. There is a fairly traditional village there that linked to the Town. It’s mainly metal buildings but otherwise is a very traditional village layout. I also had a cup of coffee with some of the locals who were very friendly.
