How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Verified reviewSimona is a perfect host, she is efficient and so her staff. We had the bungalow close just to another one, with privacy and a small swimming pool.. Close by there are local small shops, laundry, small restaurant; but you will receive fm Simona a detailed list about all activities. Happy to suggest you to stay at her small "paradise".

Verified reviewWe had such a wonderful time at the villa! We loved everything about it. The pool was clean and perfect for relaxing. The staff were very friendly and always there to help us with anything we needed. The food was really tasty, and we enjoyed every meal. The atmosphere was peaceful and quiet, which made our stay even better. The villa is in a great place also private and calm. We felt very comfortable here and didn’t want to leave. We will definitely come back 100% because we had such a great experience

Given the nature of our bungalow's environment, we recommend that guests with specific phobias or preferences for more controlled environments consider accommodations in urban hotels, where such encounters are less likely. Verified reviewWe loved Bali Mynah Villas, it was a piece of paradise from busy Uluwatu. The villa was well equipped with everything you needed, tea, coffee, water and the owner was so helpful. She organised a scooter for us and sent us lots of information via whatsapp. She made our honeymoon really special with decorations and a bottle of wine. The breakfast was really yummy with a lot of variety and if you want a treatment from the spa menu you can have it at the villa. The beds were comfortable and the pool area was clean and lovely too. Thank you!

The place was super relaxing and was great value for money - I extended my initial stay twice because i liked it that much! Simona was a great host and went out of her way to make my time enjoyable and relaxing. Would 100% recommend staying here

Verified reviewI booked this Villa because I already know the area and been before because my friends live close. For me the kindness of the staff, the hygiene of the room and good location were perfect . I am in a Airbnb villa in the same area which is not to my satisfaction. I am even considering breaking of my stay here and go back to Bali Mynah.
Only small remark for me would be the bed I had. Was too hard for me but hey, that’s quite personal right? Has to do with my long lasting back-problems

Verified reviewEnjoyed our stay at Bali Mynah. Host had great communication throughout our stay, helped us organise a bike and iron. Quiet location, great outdoor and pool area. Room had everything we needed and the breakfast served at the restaurant next door was good as well.
Only drawback was the location, it is a bit further out from everything. So if you arrive on a late flight will be hard to get food etc as most things will be closed. But once we organised a bike, was pretty easy to get around.

Verified reviewBali Mynah Villas Resort is an oasis of peace in a strategic location to explore both Jimbaran area and Uluwatu best beaches (renting a scooter is mandatory). We really enjoyed our stay and Simona gave us many useful tips to enjoy and explore the surrounding area. Highly recommended!

Verified reviewWe had the chance to be in the semi-private villa, which made all the difference. We had a pool shared only with the other villa next to us, which was very private. I’m not sure this is the same for the other rooms. Our room was very big and clean, the garden and the pool were just amazing… We also had a little kitchen outside, so it is also perfect for a longer stay.
The breakfast was not very tasty, to be honest… And the location a bit remote. I never walked on foot alone indeed, only scooters are allowed.
