Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaWe found as we didn’t ride bikes that it was a bit far from the village to walk for meals. We did get lift from people at villa though.
The property was very clean and quiet. Only 6 villas so very private. We loved the atmosphere.

AustraliaThere was nothing I didn’t like about BDH
The location. I had a Seaview bungalow, room 2. The bungalow was perfect size for a solo traveler. Staff were helpful by providing transport to near by dinning venues. My breakfast was brought to my room and my luggage carried down and back up when leaving. I was able to get an extra night and totally relaxed during my time at BDH

IF you want quiet and peace and east access to snorkeling this is the place to stay. It is small place only 6 bungalows with only two beach pool front. WONDERFUL service, beautiful sunrise, yummy breakfast

Perfect location for divers and great snorkeling point with the most beautiful reef in Amed just in front of the villlas.

AustraliaThere was only one photo on booking.com of a few stairs, in fact there are many down to the front rooms and the pool/beach. The staff are very obliging and will carry your bags down to the rooms and back up. But we were just not expecting this, and are elderly. The taxi the staff rang to get us into Amed town was expensive, he had a taxi with Bali Dream House written on it and charged us 200IDR return. I wanted to go to an air-conditioned massage studio, the staff assured me the one they rang was air-conditioned, of course it wasn't. So the taxi expense was wasted!! Most expensive taxi I had the whole time in Bali. Suggest you negotiate a price when they ring.
We had a poolside room which was fantastic, down a long stairway to the room with only the pool in front of you and then the beach. The beach out the front is wonderful for snorkelling, but bring reef shoes with you. The whole place is kept immaculate and the rooms very clean. They bought breakfast down to our patio each morning. Breakfast is basic but OK. Two excellent restaurants nearby, Galanga an intrepid walk, not far but very narrow road with no footpath, but really worth the effort. Sails which is just wonderful, if you ring them they will pick you up and drop you back, for free, but a tip was really appreciated by the driver.

AustraliaThe bath towels and permanent bath mat on the floor need replacing. The towels smelled as soon as they were wet , creating a musty smell in the room. They were replaced everyday though which was good.
The villa was lovely, and the pool and its location on the beach was beautiful. Also being able to snorkel at the from of the property was great too.

NetherlandsI had booked with garden view. This turned out to be directly beside the noisy main road. The next day I was given the option at no extra cost to move closer to the pool area which was much better.
Beautiful pool area overlooking the beach. Loved having my breakfast there in the morning. individual Houses were well set out and nicely furnished. Gede and his staff were very helpful & friendly and quick to respond. Gede arranged a local fisherman to take me Snorkeling and driver to take me to my next location.

United KingdomNo bum gun! Very creaky furniture (inc beds and seats) which may need tightening up a bit.
Really nice place with excellent villas at a decent price. Staff lovely. Breakfast brought to room and that was pretty good too, particularly pancakes. The real reason to visit here though is the fact that it is right on a coral reef. The hotel will lend you snorkels. Being able to snorkel right in front of where you are sleeping is genuinely amazing and well worth the visit. Pool also good with decent shaded options to sit around it.

PortugalThe bathroom is open to the outside, and we noticed that from a certain angle in the shower we could see the balcony from the next building, which means that if there were people there, they could see us bathing. It didn't affect us because nobody was there, but this can be very uncomfortable.
Everything in this stay is perfect!! We had a room with pool and ocean view. The pool is really cool, and they have several places for you to lay beneath it. And, as mentioned in other reviews, the access to the beach could not be more direct! They let you borrow snorkeling equipment (yes, for free!), and doing it right in the beach is amazing! We saw so many different fishes, including a turtle! The breakfast is very good, and they give you the option to take it (and any other meal) in the restaurant, in the pool or in the room. The staff is incredibly kind and helpful! This was an amazing stay, and we regretted not staying longer!

United KingdomThe hotel is on the main road (but so is everything in Amed!) and room 6 is pretty noisy. We were fine because we had ear plugs, but if not could be a bit of a nightmare. That's the only negative thing I can think of - if you're looking for a peaceful pretty place - this is it.
So much to love about this hotel! From the welcome drinks on arrival to the beautiful big room with terrace - delicious breakfast brought your room (or the pool or restaurant) - to the gorgeous sun trapped pool and location on the beach - Bali Dream house is a dream! It only has 6 rooms so it's very calm and the stretch of beach is so quiet. The hotel has snorkelling equipment and on our last morning we swam with a turtle 20 metres from the hotel! There's a few nice restaurants within 5-15 mins walking but if you want to go into busier Amed town you will need a taxi or to hire a scooter. Finally - the staff are amazing! On our first night they dropped us on scooters at a local restaurant and on our final day SAVED US FROM MISSING OUR FLIGHT by taking us on scooters to our taxi that was blocked by a festival in the town. Honestly - the kindness and care is unparalleled. Wish we could go back!
