Unit 11 next to pool, and reception area is noisy and needs a sheer curtain for privacy.

Location next to beach is fantastic, beach front dining. Good pool. Clean and well maintained. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Snorkelling off the beach in front of complex is great for Coral and turtles.

It takes at least 45 minutes to receive your breakfast every morning from the moment you order. The service at the restaurant is really too slow. The bungalows are very close so you can hear people's conversations and noises at any time.

Nice bungalow close to everything, just in front of the coral barrier and turtles, nice swimming pool, cosy bungalows with outside shower, good hot water, nice food at the restaurant. They help you organising tours and transfers. Nice chilled vides with nice cocktail. There is a drinking water dispenser available at the reception.

We absolutely LOVED our stay in Bambu Cottages! There is a beautiful beach where we could watch the sunrise with a delicious cup of lombok coffee and snorkle later on (turtles are always there). Breakfast was yummy and even my very picky son was impressed! Cottage was beautiful and unique and cleaned every single day. But what made our stay truly unforgettable was definitely the staff. Every single person working there greets you with a smile and polite chat and nothing is too big of an ask. If only we could, we would stay in Bambu Cottages forever.

Super stay at a lovely boutique style hotel. Rooms are simple but really comfortable. The staff made this stay even more enjoyable (particularly Agus, who was incredible with our 3 young children - thanks Agus!). Great food, beach etc.

When you first arrive, it’s about 25 mins walk from the port which is hard in the heat with heavy bags. There are horse drawn carts as an alternative but not ethical in my opinion.

Staff were very accommodating and kind. It’s a beautiful hotel right on a gorgeous beach. Relaxing tranquil vibes. Helped us to rent bikes to cycle around the island (although this was difficult due to the sand).

It was all perfect!

Amazing bungalows on the best part of Gili Air! Great facilities. Peaceful location, with easy access to fantastic snorkelling and lots of turtles. The pool was superb, the waterfront location was idyllic - comfy sun-loungers and umbrellas with views over the ocean to Lombok. The staff were all wonderful! Warm, hospitable and attentive. We loved the delicious breakfasts, outstanding cocktails, and very sweet and friendly kittens.

The cottages are a bit basic and somewhat noisy (ours was located directly next to the reception), but nonetheless very comfortable !

The hotel is located in a beautiful spot by the beach. Every morning, you’re treated to a great breakfast and lovely morning sunshine with a view of Lombok and Mount Rinjani. Right in front of the hotel, you can enjoy great snorkeling and spot turtles. The staff is incredibly kind and helpful! You can also rent bikes on-site for a good price!

We loved our stay at Bambu Cottages. The location was perfect for us, right on the beach. A beautiful bamboo hut accommodation with an outdoor bathroom, which we loved. Fabulous breakfast and drinks. But the staff were what made our stay extra special. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. We became great friends with A Ghoszt who made our stay extra special by being so attentive and helpful when we needed him. We really loved our stay here and would certainly love to stay here again if we return to the area. We would highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxed side of the island with easy access to great snorkelling.

We were super happy with the place but the rooms have no mosquito protection so you have to sleep with some sprays for it. But is nothing bad just important to know ;)

We had an amazing stay at Bamboo Cottages — the best service we’ve ever experienced. The staff are incredibly kind, welcoming, and always go the extra mile to make you feel at home. The place is beautiful, peaceful, and full of charm. We highly recommend it to anyone visiting Gili Air!

Okay, maybe the bed was a little squishy.:)

We spent 5 day of our honeymoon in Bamboo Cottage, Gili Air. I couldn't say a bad thing about it, if I wanted to. The cottage has great vibe and it's located next to the beautiful shore, where you can see an a abundance of sea life, while snorkeling, including great green turtles and a million kind of fishes.  In the cottage itself the staff is great, kind and helpful. (I suggest you to try out the cocktails made by the talented bartender, called Bocha.) Every need we had, they solved, and every question we asked, they answered, with a smile on their face. Also the food is great too at a fair price. The location is great too. Every kind of services (dive center, massage, restaurants etc) are near to it, while the busy harbor is far enough to have calm nights. We were sad, when we had to leave, I hope we'll have the chance in life to go there again! (Ps.: Also the local cats are super cute and friendly, like they were the part of the staff! 😊 )

Be mindful that for the price, it remains a 3 star hotel, so there are some minor hiccups: the place is compact, there was no TP in the bathroom when I arrived (fixed promptly by staff), safe is too small to fit a laptop, breakfast is good but not amazing.

This is a great place to stay: Location, decoration, friendly and helpful staff who accommodates last minute requests, beautiful setting, cozy atmosphere, helpful tourist info right out the door, they help you figure out departure transfer (although at a premium)

The rooms, apart from the one right by the pool, were quite dark inside, as there are a lot of trees giving protection from the sun. My daughters sadly had continuous issues with cockroaches in their bathroom, which the staff were unable to fully resolve.

Nice ambience right by the sea. Lovely little pool with restaurant seating on the beach. Great staff, very helpful. We liked this place a lot. Perfect for chilling and relaxing on a quieter Gili island. Great spot for snorkelling too. We saw lots of turtles here.
