Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SingaporeInaccessible by Grab/Gojek. You’d need to book transportation out of the resort through reception but that’s dependent on their availability. Best to inform in advance (which I did, told them the day before the time I wanted to leave but still waited for >30 minutes for the driver & car to be ready).
Staff is very welcoming and friendly. The resort gives a local vibe since it’s far from the tourist spot. There are in-house activities to do (chargeable but there is a discount for those staying at the resort). Really love the villa! It was just right for my stay.

SingaporeThe place would have been better if it was more handicap-friendly. The cafe at the top of the hill was very special but it was not possible for my mother - who uses a wheelchair - to visit.
The place is beautiful, surrounded by nature and fruit trees. We enjoyed the view from the rooms. The staff were very polite and very helpful.

MalaysiaThe place is beautiful and worth every penny spent. The only drawback is, it is far from town. Thus, need to arrange own transportation. They also help to arrange transportation if we notify in advance. The staffs are so friendly and with happy welcoming faces. I would stay here again just for the ambience. The food in their restaurant tastes great too especially the fish dishes. I like the place being so quiet at night just felt peaceful.

SingaporeI thought our villa would be tucked in the middle of the forest but it wasn't - there was a road right beside the villa and I could hear some loud vehicles every hour or so. My room was relatively close to the cafe up the hill and it played loud music so I could hear it from my room but it was fine as they turned it down by 11pm or so (but if your room was situated closer to the cafe it might be quite disruptive). One last thing I didn't like about the place was the 'mini zoo'. It was heartbreaking to see monkeys captured in a cage with not one branch to swing from (but the thought of monkeys in a cage is already bad). This goes for all the other animals in the mini zoo (geese, big lizards, etc.). The place looked like a little run down - please get rid of the 'mini zoo'. I assure you no one finds the 'mini zoo' a happy place.
Loved how relaxing the place was! I really appreciated how the staff were able to help us anytime (and they were so kind and welcoming)! We loved the activities - my husband and I did the hike up Gunung Bintan, fireflies tour (it was magical and the stars were so gorgeous that night!), rock climbing and swam around in the pool. We aren't the kind to just sit around so the activities were really fun for us. The room was nice and comfortable (no mosquitos, great air-conditioning, decent water pressure)! The food in the restaurant and cafe is pretty good at times and the free breakfast was great too. Made a lot of cat friends at the villa ;D

CyprusThe property was far from everything and as there are no taxis on the island on the spot, we spent a fortune paying every day for transport. Also the hotel was not clean to European standards eg (toilet and bedsheets).
The best thing about the property where the staff. They were super kind and always tried to help. However, almost no one communicated in English which was a setback when trying to organise tours or even order food.

GermanyI guess we didn´t arrive at a good time, because almost none of the hotel facilities were working. Only the hotel cafe was open (the restaurant was closed) with very limited selection of food, with almost no vegetarian options. Our stay was not long so it was okay but you should consider this if you´re planning on staying longer. There was some reconstruction done at the hotel which didn´t impact our stay.
The hotel has potential. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was big and clean. There was free transport from and to the ferry port. There is not much around the hotel, but we were able to rent a motorcycle and that made travelling around the island very easy.

SingaporeWe came during the non-peak season so it was basically only me and my partner at the resort. To get to our rooms we had to get a buggy which was fine but since it was non-peak, when we came back around 8/9pm, the reception was closed. We didn't feel safe walking up in the dark. Thankfully our driver knew where to find the hidden staff members to bring us up on the buggy. I was really hoping to take a dip in the pool but after seeing the condition of the flooring at that area, we gave it a miss as we didn't think it was well maintained. Rooftop cafe has nice menu, but food takes awhile to come up as the kitchen is located at the ground floor. So bear that in mind.
Our rooms were well-maintained and clean. Staff were helpful in getting drivers and maintained friendly attitudes throughout our stay. Our breakfast food were delicious and the friendly stray kitty was the cherry on top. Staff were quick to respond if kitty tried to steal our food. The view of Gunung Bintan from the rooftop cafe was beautiful. Since our room was up the hill, we'd usually call for a buggy to go up or down, and the staff always responded to our requests for one timely.
