Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SingaporePool area has some trees above, so some leaves fall inside the pool making ir a bit dirty but still ok to swim.
The rooms were very peaceful surrounded by greenery. The room and toilets were clean. The breakfast was good. The pool is relaxing. The hotel gave a total homestay kind of vibe.

CanadaHousekeeping could be improved. Not all the bed linens had been changed, very dirty blanket cover which was changed out the next day on our request.
Ideally located off Jalan Bisma. Central location and very quiet. Only a 5 minute walk to the main artisan market. Nice pool.

RussiaWi-fi didn’t work well, for 2 phones was constantly disruptive. AC is old and noisy: impossible sleep at night with AC working. Be prepared for noisy neighbors)
The property is located right in the center of Ubud, walking distance to the temple, palace and Monkey Forest. The staff was helpful and offered airport transfer for usd 35 (usual fare usd 30), due to our late arrival. Everyone in the hotel was helpful and amicable. The hotel itself is just 3 mins walk from the road in a narrow street. We booked a villa with the swimming pool. The villa itself is a 2 floor building, lots of space everywhere. Territory has lots of flowers, bushes and trees, photos are true. Ideal for those who want to live area and close to the center of Ubud.

GermanyBathroom was dark (only one light fixture for a big bathroom), and the shower flooded all the time because the drain was not enough and it had no contingency. Also nowhere to put stuff away in the bathroom apart from the really small sink
Spacious room, super clean and good air-conditioning. Amazingly located in the heart of Ubud

United KingdomA little dirty / drains smelled a bit and the mosquito net around the bed is a little stained. The bathroom has open vents to the outside and so mosquitos and flys can get in. The staff at the breakfast were lovely but the lady on the front desk was not very communicative or helpful. Be aware it is right next to rice fields. During our stay they were burning these fields and due to the open vent and lack of seal around the doors, the smoke does fill the room.
Location is good. Pool and breakfast are great. Bed is comfortable and big.

CanadaIncluded Breakfast was weird. Choose an egg or a toast, for drinks choose water or coffee. Bonus is a small plate of fruits. Anything extra is $2. I ended up having an egg and a glass of water and after that went outside to have a breakfast.

IndonesiaThere were a couple of things. There was some mould on the curtains but otherwise it was clean, and I had a few interesting lumpy pillows 😄 the bed was comfy though! And I loved having the bar fridge, air con and nice bathroom. I needed an eye mask as the light from verandah (safety lighting I guess) comes through the curtains. The most annoying thing though was a guest in the room on the same level as me was sitting outside my room at my little table and chairs, and then late at night was sitting outside my room having a very loud phone conversation! But disrespectful, but the other few guests that stayed there during my stay were lovely, and that isn't Gora Houses fault either.
I loved how I felt tucked away from the busier streets of Ubud, but was actually next to everything! I had an amazing view of a rice paddy field outside my window and off my balcony. I liked God's house so much I extended my stay for an extra 5 nights! My room was reset each day, I felt comfortable and the staff around the place were all very friendly. Most of the other travellers I met were too. The pool was great and I had breakfast one morning which was great too. It felt like a home away from home for me as I stayed there so long.

Australia- There was a very filthy sponge in the kitchen which I threw in the bin as it was way past its shelf life. To my shock and horror, the cleaning staff fished it out of the bin (that also had other rubbish in) the next day and put it back on the sink next to the tap. That was absolutely disgusting and safe to say we had never used it. - The dish cloth was also in desperate need of a wash/replacement. I asked for one and they said they did not have spares. - The kitchen had very basic utensils and quite dirty. We did not use the kitchen at all, apart from some cups for our coffee and some bowls and storing food and drinks in the fridge. - The villa in general could do with some touch-ups/maintenance work, as paint was peeling here and there and some things were broken (e.g. wardrobe door knob). The bathtub was also blocked and water did not drain, which was a shame as I wanted to use it. - Pool towels would be nice to have, especially for a villa. - Safe lock did not work, so we locked the wardrobe instead.
Stayed at one of the two villas with private pool, directly next to the main complex pool. One bedroom was upstairs, very spacious with its own bathroom and balcony overlooking the main complex pool and some rice paddie. The other bedroom was downstairs, next to the open area kitchen and terrace, with its own open roof bathroom. Plenty of space for our family, the private pool was lovely and the location was great, close to all warungs, restaurants, cafes, shops and a laundry down the road. Main Ubud centre was about 15 minutes walk. The beds have mosquito covers and they replenish the water bottles. They also cleaned the villa every day while we were away.

United KingdomNot much! It’s a busy part of town, and I’d recommend staying a bit further north if you prefer a chilled vibe, we were up there for the first few nights of our time in Ubud but it was easier being in the centre.
Clean, comfortable, great location but still quiet enough at night. There was air conditioning, a fridge in the room and hot water in the shower. So ticked all the boxes for us! For the money, it was also better than other places we’ve stayed on our trip.

AustraliaThe downstairs bathroom needs a thorough clean to remove the mould from tiles and flooring. The kitchen has no crockery, cutlery or glass ware. An electric kettle would also be handy.
The private pool and garden is lovely. It is nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of tourists and to have a beautiful space to relax and cool down.
