Location is great

The staff barely knew any English, dorms were not clean (especially the bathrooms), and facilities were basic.

Nice pool

Just a couple of the old shower/toilet units (water goes all over toilet when showering) and a single tiny basin for each dorm. Had some very rowdy roommates too which I know is part of the game at hostels but these girls were particularly loud/pushy/entitled

Only location and the staff

8 beds in a small room with 2 little dirty bathrooms inside. No oxygen inside the room, no space to place your bag (apart from the locker), no soap, no hot water. Uncomfortable sponge mattress that gave me back pain. On top of that during my stay it was full of youngsters that arrived drunk late at night and woke all up. In the next room there was a bedbug problem. I booked for 2 nights, only because l saw the high ratings which l don’t understand how, and my experience in Kuta turned out unpleasant.

BEDBUGS!!!! I noticed new bites since being at the hostel and then one night I woke up itching and saw 2 bed bugs on my bed (kuta room) The first guy I told did not speak much English and I used translate and showed pictures - he did not apologise and seemed complacent. I slept outside from 3am because I felt grossed out to sleep in the bed. Eventually I spoke to one of the other guys who apologised but was not forthcoming with solutions except I could change to another room. I declined incase it was an issue in the other rooms so I asked him to launder my items and suggested he deep clean and fumigate the room. Later in the day I went to pick up my laundry and I noticed in my previous bed they had only changed the sheets and there was still the squashed bed bug on the side wall (so they had not cleaned properly) There was dust below my bed and they swept the main areas but the kitchen was dirty underneath. This hostel has a lot of potential to be good but it has no activities, is lacking in management and overall cleanliness especially in regards to how they have managed the bed bugs - a big shame!!

This is really not the place that you see in the pictures! The pool area is still fine, although the bean bags have definitely seen better days. The worst for me was the smelly bathroom. It seems that the toilet is never really gets cleaned, hence the terrible smell!!! Also the sink looked awful. The guys working there didn't really seem to have an overview over the bookings for transfer or the scooter rental. Some of them seemed nice bit for the most part, the guys I talked to were rather unfriendly or better to say not at all interested in the guests. Overall I wouldn't recommend staying here.

Nice quiet location off the main road, but easy access to the center. Nice simple common area with a great pool! Bed was very comfortable. My favorite part is the staff that works there! Family of boys who are all hilarious, kind, and helpful!!! Originally booked 1 night and stayed over a week.

Nice pool area and good location, great that water, tea and coffee is provided. Staff will kindly arrange transport for you. Beds are comfy.

The bathrooms are dirty. They need a deep clean and to be cleaned more regularly throughout the day.

Would definitely come back, very relaxed spot even though Kuta can be a bit hectic

Perfect hostel, not a party place but attended by fun and friendly people and it's close enough the main street, restaurants and bars. It's actually a place that is as good as the photos they share

Would be 10/10 if the bathrooms had hot water

Location, pool, and experience was great.

The sink is in the room, so anyone getting ready early or late is disturbing. The bed was not that comfortable. They give you a comforter without a duvet cover. The towel was the size of a hand towel. The bathrooms were not cleaned often and the shower had bugs/spiders in them.

The beds were comfy and the sheets were clean. The pool was nice.

The kitchen area is very dirty. The shower is always cold and the room is very dark. You have to take your shoes off but regardless your feet are always dirty because the floors are never swept. There are no planned social events so you have to meet people on your own terms. The beanbags need replacing.

Hostel has everything you need (pool, common space, towel, duvet, locker). The owners took good care of me while I was injured too.

I was in a hurry and stayed only for one night. The atmosphere was very welcoming. Comfortable bed and clean.

I was in a hurry and waited for my taxi. Suddenly my backpack was gone. The staff had told another driver to put my bag in his car. They didn't apologize or give an explanation.

Jancoox is amazing- super clean rooms and bathrooms, crazy comfy beds, kind and caring staff (Kyy literally made the whole experience, he’s great!!!), and a really nice pool chill out area.

It was perfect!
