Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyI guess, for Ketuts place, you have to evaluate differently. Ketuts place is built like a traditional home of Indonesia, with a really beautiful garden, a nice pool and a family, who lives with you inside of the area. Each house is built differently and has its own advantages, which makes it a unique experience. On the down side, to keep this place in good shape, it needs a lot of effort which doesn't work well at every place. Our room (Nr. 5) smelled very strong, so we bought a room refresher, which made the stay okay. But you clearly see the mold at the wall, which is probably because of the high humidity. A couple of fountains are not working and the pool loungers are not in the best conditions. Bringing all that together and comparing it to the price, I would say, it was a bit overpriced. We had a couple of accommodations in Indonesia for a similar price, which were in better conditions. But on the other hand you get a different experience, with an area behind the pool, that reminds me of a "lost place". If you are willing to give up a bit of luxury, It's quite a place to explore things. - Stuff very helpful/owner very friendly - 10min walk to the city center - food good, but a bit overpriced - pool clean - check in/check without problems.

HungaryThe towels we got were very smelly. I assume it's due to the high moisture in the air. Clothes didn't dry either (in March, wet season, might be different in the dry season). Also, a hand towel and a bathroom mat would have been great. We missed these.
The whole place and both the view from the deluxe room to the green jungle was amazing. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place.

AustraliaOur bed wasn't so comfortable.
Traditional Balinese property, intricately maintained and with lovely staff. Great location, a 10-15 minute walk to the Palace and Ubud markets, and a stones through from convenience stores and lovely restaurants. The property is also close to the silversmith, Wayan's Silver Class, where we made gorgeous rings.

SwitzerlandI would give 10/10 if it wasn‘t for the stained bedsheets and weird (damp?) smelling towels.
The accomodation was lovely and quiet surrounded by lush jungle. All staff were extremely friendly and always helpful and accomodating. We especially loved the breakfast which was super delicious (you have to tell the day before and can choose between an indonesian, balinese or western set breakfast).

GreeceThe road outside leading to centre
Wonderful traditional place and staff. Lovely pool and delicious breakfast,.. Unfortunately the road leading down to centre is very busy and pavements in very bad repair, that would be the only reason I would not return to this beautiful guest house.

AustraliaJust a couple of minor things. The safe was broken so we had to use the key, which was a bit stressful as we didn’t want to lose it and not be able to open it. The two chairs in our room had a plastic covering which made them too sweaty to sit on.
We loved the homely feel and traditional Balinese architecture of Ketut’s. The staff were attentive and made us feel welcome. The room was spacious with good air con. The breakfast was tasty ( as was all the food we ate there) with several choices. We booked all our activities through reception - really enjoyed the cooking class. The banquet dinner, which included information on Balinese traditions was excellent. Short walk from the centre of Ubud and easy to get a Grab for longer distances.

United KingdomBooking excursions or massages was more expensive than walking a few minutes into town and booking from others.
The facade is misleading. Once you enter the premises you are surprised at how big and spacious the place is. Bonus - it is built in traditional Indonesian style. Our room overlooked the tropical forest. It was spacious, staff were gracious and helpful. The owners live at the place and are willing to arrange to multiple excursions. Didn't get to use their massage center but the location is spectacular. Very clean and their staff would immediately resolve issues. It included breakfast and that was a great bonus. Daughter fell ill and they called the Emergency Care who came and spent 2-3 hours with my daughter ensuring she fell well before they left. They examined, took blood and stool samples and gave her IV drip and medicines for 5 days. The emergency care team's lab assistant came quickly to pick up the samples and run the tests. Everything done professionally and competently by the female team of doctor and nurse. Breakfast is sumptuous

AustraliaNo drinking water supplied in large container to refill bottles- manager charged for bottles if more than 2 small ones per day per room. Not good. Charged for hot water- this a bit “stingy”. No thermos of hot water in rooms that didn’t have a kettle. A basic supply of some hot water would make a big difference. This is the norm in other guest houses I have stayed in in Bali.
No issues. Excellent swimming pool and location to eating area.
