Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Very simple and basic. The italian host doesn't speak english. The hot water actually is not hot at all, just a little warm.
Was ok. Good internet. Clean enough. Peaceful place, out of the busy area but still close to the main area

The grass and the plant in the yard not clean enough, needs to be cleaned At night the terrace light in front of the quests rooms mostly are not turned on so its a bit scary.
Good place for stay daily or month. Cheaper if you want stay for along time likes a month. Facilities likes a hotel. The bed can be use for 2 adult, table and chair, wastafel, tv flat, wardrobe, clothesline so you can wash cloth by your self, toiletries like tissue, nice view from the top (3rd floor), you can ask for coffee or tea from the owner because owner stay at the 3rd floor. The distance around 500 meters from the road so you can rest and sleepy away from noisy. Nice owner and have a good talk with them. Easy fir find food, just walk to main street, and only 10 minutes walk to sidewalk jimbaran mall. The size room good and it is enough.

The place is distant from the road, so there was not any traffic noise. The air is also fresh. There is the kitchen. Many shops are nearby. On the top floor there is a dining place where you can have a meal and enjoy a beautiful view. It is a very good option to stay if you have a bike.

The owner of the homestay was bed ridden and his wife alone was handling the entire property.If you are lucky enough, you may find her This lady is very active and cooperative but felt that she needs at least one assistant.
All needbased fasciities are in place and working well Nothing to complaint about

The quality-price ratio is perfect, the staff checks every day if you need room cleaning, kitchen available, water heater, refrigerator and mineral water available. The area is very quiet and silent, there is a shopping center very close to buy food and also supermarkets. The rooms have air conditioning that works very well and Wi-Fi suitable for teleworking. Availability of towels, shampoo and soap. If you are looking for an affordable place with good connections to different areas, this is the right one.

The kitchen needs a microwave ASAP!
Private, confortable and clean place. Is basic but is perfect to rest without noise. Internet and AC works perfect. You have a basic kitchen and 2 cool fridges. I stayed for a week and had towels changed and room cleaned once. Is basic and nice, don't spect hotel level. I will def come back !!! Manager lives upstairs and is reachable by whatsapp as well if you need something.

quite far out from the beaches, room listed as having a tv as a facility however there was none. If checking in late (10pm) make sure to have wifi/data beforehand as host just sends a message with the your room number, no actual check in/reception. So I was left outside stranded for a while until figuring out which room was the hosts and having to knock on the door.

The atmosphere was not cozy at all, felt abandoned and I waited forever outside in the heat because nobody was around to check me in & wasn’t answering emails/ calls. Also a random man was banging on my door in the middle of the night. I didn’t feel safe or comfortable here as a solo woman /: Maybe would be better for a different type of traveler

I love the staff at Lavanda. They are so sweet and I got offered tea and coffee, and they in general make you feel very taken cared of and help whenever needed. The rooms are quite spacious and it's a comfortable bed. I loved that the room has a desk as I had to work here a bit during my stay. Reccommended!
