Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomHotel offered to help us to buy speed boat and transfer tickets thru their person later on we found out hotel recommended person overcharge us by 100 000 per ticket which is a bit let down. I won’t recommend to use hotel to buy any ticket. On main street you will get them much cheaper.
Alley leading to hotel may put off some people but as soon as you get to seafront, pass reception and staff take you to your room, room look good with terrace. Staff is lovely and will help if you ask.

AustraliaNo toilet paper was in the room and it was a bit run down. I guess you are paying the price for the location/proximity to the beach. There is no possibility of a cross breeze in the room there are only front doors to open so you are forced to use aircon which is ok if you are a fan of aircon but i myself prefer to open windows etc to let the breeze flow. it felt a little cramped in the room and there was no wardrobe to hang/put clothes.
This place is very close to the beach and walking distance to a lot of restaurants/cafes. The bedding/room was clean and there was a mosquito net for the bed.

FranceThere is some smell in the bathroom, but it might just be due to the quality of the water in Bali, just keep your room open for 15 minutes and it is better You have to cross a small path to reach the hotel but it is okay even though it smells a bit, it worth it, 100% A bit of hidden dust as well, but overwall a very good ratio price/quality
I was supposed to stay 1 night, I ended up staying 5 nights. You can rent a scooter there, breakfast is really good, and the view as well. The location is good in Amed, but you might need to rent a scooter anyway because there ks a lot to do outside of the town Really good warung and restaurants around

AustraliaThe entrance to the place is via a tiny lane way with a sign the you can barely see. Although it's forgiven once you see the beach and get to your nice room.
It's modern with a big size room, clean, hot water and a nice view especially on the top rooms, even from the bathroom! The room is comfortable with good AC. The WiFi was on and off but not a deal breaker. Staff and breakfast were very good and the beach is right there. It's centrally located to everything in Amed and they can help you book almost anything. We got a motorcycle, ferry to Gili T and taxi to Kuta.

NetherlandsNice location at the beach. Nice staff. We had a room downstairs with a little kind of backyard/garden which was very nice. A little smal but very nice decorated and modern room with perfect Aircon. We only stayed one night before departing to our next location. Definitely would recommend to stay at this place.

United KingdomShower sometimes just cold water. And shower curtain doesn't reach the floor so it spills out into the rest of the bathroom. The rooms look really nice but the all in one bar, restaurant, reception, kitchen, etc could do with some tlc. Really hard to find. Down some little back ally, but that is the way around there. Could do with better signs.
Really comfy pillows and bed. Mozzies net above bed. Nice clean room.

AustraliaI found the staff rather unhelpful and no one seemed to know what was going on. They tried to charge me double the amount confirmed for the room, when I said no ill pay the correct amount they tried to charge me an extra 3% for card payment but I know that charge comes from my bank not them. They tried to insist that the owner charges that and I had to be firm that I would only pay the confirmed amount on booking.com. The hotel is on the beach so there is a rather long walk along sand and stone to the road. When I asked for help the staff just said no and I have to ask the hotel staff (which isn't that them) they called upon another member who came out and seemed pissed off he had to help me. Overall, I left feeling pretty confused and frustrated.
For the price the room was fine, however the water pressure of the shower was nearly non existent. The bed was comfortable enough but the mosquito net was tied up hanging down in the middle of the bed which wasn't pleasant. I didn't want to open it incase it was dusty etc.

GermanyMy door did not close 100 percent since it was made out of wood and a little warped, so you had to be careful at night to avoid mosquitoes in your room.

AustraliaWe booked and paid for 2 nights and left after 1 . We had no electricity all night, hence no A/c ( it was 33 °) there were no staff available , and there was no response at all through booking.com message platform. In the morning, when I approached staff it took another hour to turn the power on ( it was due to a safety switch on the fuse box).the power was on and off intermittently for the rest of the morning following this. These things happen. However, a simple 'sorry' and a smile might have helped.
The room was fairly clean. Madi was friendly.

VietnamThe bathrooms are quite old ; no amenities provided so we had to buy shower gel and shampoo upon arrival.
Staff was nice. The room was big enough and clean with comfortable beds. Direct access to the beach. The view over Mount Agung was stunning. It was also nice to have breakfast on the beach.

South AfricaThe WiFi was a bit of an issue in the room, but if we stood out on the balcony the connection was great. It can be tricky to find, but the lady at the little shop on the corner is really nice too.
It was comfortable, peaceful and the staff were very welcoming and kind. It has direct beach front access, and the breakfast view is genuinely hard to beat. For this price I don’t think you can get much better. We would definitely stay there again.

Russiawe were greeted by a rude and not friendly guy (with tattoos). He didn't tell us or explain anything. then I tried to find someone from the staff to find out the password from the wi-fi. The room was basic but dirty. In the morning we were given breakfast, which was also normal. the same guy was just as rude in the morning.

United KingdomNothing, it was a great stay.
Fab property. Good wifi speed, decent breakfast & clean room. The room was super affordable and literally the homestay is on the beach where we saw dolphins whilst having breakfast! Highly recommend, Wayan was super friendly and helpful when needed but otherwise we were left to enjoy beautiful Amed. It's located down a side alley which is tricky to locate at first but all the locals will help if you ask. Bed was so comfy and great AC! We'd definitely stay again!

AustraliaThe only negative is that this great value for money place is a half a kilometre or so away from the best snorkelling and many of the restaurants.
Spacious room, new and very clean, this quiet guest house is on the beach. there is a good place to sit in the morning and enjoy your breakfast. Afterwards, you can go for a snorkel and be lucky enough to see a turtle or two about half a kilometre up the beach. There are plenty of places to eat and hang out along the beach and along the main street. Amed he’s a lovely place with mighty Mount Agung looking over here, not very touristy piece of this wonderful Island. Check around for prices for a boat trip that will take you to the Japanese shipwreck and the two other snorkelling sites before you lock in your trip.
