Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomWe paid extra to stay in the Level which was advertised as adult only. This was not the case and there were far too many children allowed into the Level. We complained and we were moved to a much quieter block but still with children. Also, there was very little room in the Level bar in the evenings. If you arrived after 6.00pm there was little food to choose from and the quality was average.
The breakfasts were excellent and having a lagoon pool outside our door was equally good.

United KingdomRooms were nice, but probably do need a bit of an update / refresh. There were too many kids round the pool. As with all these resorts, the pool - or a pool - should be adults only.
Beautiful setting - main building, gardens, landscaping etc. Really good quality food and restaurants, though these would be expensive if you don't take the all inclusive option. Step down on to the beach. I walked up to look at the other resort hotels and, apart from the one next door which seemed nice, the Melia was the nicest in my opinion.

New ZealandThat so many of the pools were underutilized and there was nowhere to have proper swim as the main pool was so crowded and the lap pools were not allowed to be used.

AustraliaThe resort was quite busy, lots of people, especially by the main pool and at breakfast which is not something we usually like.
We liked the location and grounds of the resort and the facilities provided. Bali Collection is a close walk and that was a bonus. We ate at Sateria a couple of times and the food was really good. Staff were always friendly.

FinlandThe hotel just doesn't feel like a 5-star hotel. Breakfast was very busy (maybe the easter time?), felt like a factory, very slow service and sometimes you had to ask several times to eg get the right coffee. Also just 1-2 different juices, often eg no orange or apple juices, wasn't impressive at all. The service also by the pool as slow, and the restaurant by the beach had very small portions. The other room our family smelled very strongly of mold. The other one had 2 floors and the upstairs (top floor) was very hot so you had to keep the cold aircon (blowing at the bed) on all night. When it rained hard, the bathroom flooded through the roof. Every day I killed 4-5 small bugs in the room. The rooms also felt quite old /dated in general (built in 1985).
The pool was one of the best we have had, especially travelling with the kids. Also the kids club was nice.

AustraliaHyperinflated prices and extremely slow for any type of service. Equivalent to $19 for a pizza and $8 for a beer, extortionate. Rooms could 100% do with renovation, although they are spotless clean they are old and outdated with some wood rot and paint peel.
Great location, friendly staff.

MalaysiaDuring our stay had to go half a day without water due to some major water pipe leak. Though the inconvenience was unexpected, was hoping the resort had taken some contingency to assist especially for baths and natures call.
Location was great. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Daily in-house activities were fun. The Level experience made it extra special.

AustraliaRoom was dated and worn, however it was clean and the bed comfortable. One small drawback was the fact there was only one pool at the hotel accessible for guest who did not have the Level Package, with lots of kids. Despite this I would still recommend the hotel.
Great location and activities to do on-site such as gym, tennis and biking. Enjoyed the herb garden and small animal farm on the property. Staff were all very friendly and courteous. Melia was also a very close walk (5 mins) to the Bali Collection Mall of shops, restaurants and massage spas which offered more affordable food options than purely eating in the hotel.

AustraliaOur stay got off to a rough start. Upon arrival, we were met with a strong mold odor in our first room. While the staff did move us, the replacement felt like a downgrade from our initial booking. Frankly, after this initial inconvenience, we would have expected at least a comparable room, if not an upgrade. The breakfast buffet was also a letdown. It was the least impressive we encountered on Nusa Dua Beach, falling short of other hotels like Sofitel and Westin. To make matters worse, the automatic coffee machines were inexplicably removed from the restaurant. Management's explanation that they couldn't handle demand seemed illogical, especially since we'd witnessed them function perfectly during a previous stay. Adding another machine would have been a simple solution. Their absence made getting coffee a frustrating morning ritual, especially considering the inattentiveness of some F&B staff who were often socializing behind the stations. The quality of the in-room amenities left much to be desired. They felt cheap and inadequate, prompting us to purchase our own at Sensatia in Bali Collection.
The location of the resort is great. The rooms are clean. The gardens are immaculate. The beach is nice. Close to Bali Collection. Love Nusa Dua in general.

AustraliaThe restaurants all book out quickly and the menus are limited, so if you prefer to avoid the buffet like we do you need to be organised.
The grounds are beautiful and all of the staff were lovely. We enjoyed the Level experience and were very glad we opted for it. Breakfast at the Sorrento restaurant, the adults only pool and the happy hour drinks and nibbles were all great value adds.

SingaporePerhaps mosquitoes coils or fans placed around the kids club during movie night to prevent the children from being bitten badly. The beach could do with a clean up for the children’s safety.
Child friendly and the staff are incredibly attentive and accommodating and wonderful. The kids club and its activities were splendid. It was safe to drop the kids off while the staff assisted us in looking after them. The even went above and beyond to prepare our room with balloons for my daughters birthday. Thank you for everything!
