Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

New ZealandMy room window looked at the main lobby so not the most private but I saw they have other rooms that looked more private. They advertised a lot of activities like yoga and a spa, but it's actually on demand and there is no spa facility. Massages are given in the room.
Very quiet, nice pool overlooking rice paddy with some walking options nearby. Very lovely staff. Very balinese atmosphere and style. I liked the open sky bathroom. The massage was good.

NetherlandsNothing.
Remote resort, where rooms a scattered over a authentic Balinese village amidst the ‘Sawah’ (rice terraces). Very safe vibe, beautiful rooms and gorgeous nights on the porch listening to all the Balinese evening sounds. Frogs, tokeh, cikcak and on the background a bit of traffic noise from the main road a few kilometers away. We enjoyed the peacefulness a lot. Restaurant is good as usual the breakfast. Rooms are spacious and have a nice romantic canopy bed with mosquito net. Airconditioning works great. From your veranda you can stroll through the rice fields. In an adjacent forest plot there is an natural water source and temple used for spiritual cleansing. Short walk. Overall peaceful and spiritual place. Bring a good book and the pool and surroundings do the rest. Lot of things are offered on this resort. Cooking classes, massages, spiritual cleansing, Balinese marriage. 2-3 nights will do as it is quite remote

New ZealandUnfortunately the first night we were there there was a very loud gala night, that we were not forewarned about. However it did stop at 8.30pm thankfully. Be aware there's no TV in the rooms (despite saying they're included on booking.com). Also the location is really far away - which is great for peace and quiet but does mean that some planning is needed if you don't want to eat at the hotel.
We loved swimming in the pool, overlooking the rice fields! Generally quite a tranquil place to stay and somewhere a bit different from the tourist spots. Our rooms had an outdoor shower which was very nice! Hotel restaurant was really nice and the staff were delightful.

CanadaWow. That should summarize our stay at Puri Taman Sari Resort. Beautiful suranding in and outside of the resort. Very comfortable rooms and even outside shower which added to the spa feeling. Delicious breakfast served on the veranda overlooking rice feelds and the grounds of the resort. Infinity pool with an amazing view. And the staff so friendly and attractive to all our needs. I guess we should not prise the resort publicly and keep this to ourselves but this gem is too wonderful to be kept a secret. Special thanks to Donny for welcoming us to the Puri Taman Sari Resort. We will be back.

United KingdomWe were disappointed with the lack of vegetarian options at the restaurant. And we were charged the same price for meals without the meat and egg which was disappointing. However the staff did try their best to make meals satisfying for us, and for that we are grateful. I was also sad to see cows tied up all day every day at the top of our bungalow grounds, even though I know this is life for them in Bali.. It still upset me to see it.
We were super fortunate to have the whole of the lower grounds to ourselves. The pool was refreshing, the views stunning, with beautiful ceremonial grounds at the end of the path. The sounds of frogs and other wildlife was a bonus at night time. And the staff always smiley and friendly, and willing to help! We would definitely return to stay here. The location is in a traditional Balinese village, and away from the crowds that are overtaking the peace in the south.

GermanyThere are small things to improve: 1. Lighting in bedroom 2. Rails at Staircases and in Swimmingpool 3. Larger offer of wines (we wanted a bottle of local white wine for dinner- they only had red wine) 4. The holder for toilet paper was broken out of wall
Traditional Balinese House. Nice and quiet location with view into Rice-Fields Friendly staff.

AustraliaThe day beds on the veranda in front of our room were not comfy to sit on; the back was too low. Also some of the rooms are not in the main compound and it meant that some evenings we would have a crowd from a tour owalking past our room to one of the exits although there is another entrance next to the main office which they could be directed to. Small complaints as this is a wonderful spot
The special thing about Puri Taman Sari is how closely it is part of village life: Dinner at the nearby Mengwi Night markets with the locals; cycling through hidden rice fields and villages with a local, Wayan, who, when my husband came off his bike into a water channel alongside a rice field whilst taking a selfie, treated his cut traditionally with banana tree bark; being invited to Wayan’s family compound, home to 9 relatives’ families; Hearing the village gamelan orchestra practising on evening and when we went to watch, being invited to join in….These sorts of experiences are not common on holiday in Bali…. On top of all this, the hotel is lovely- really tranquil with beautiful traditional buildings. Staff friendly and helpful, manager Donny happy and able to arrange anything.

AustraliaNot major things, just suggestions to make it even better. Would have been good if our room had a small fridge to keep drinks cool. And being in the middle of nowhere, it would be good if they had some snacks to buy, so during the day you could grab a bag of crisps or something like that. Next time we go, we'll stock up on snacks before we get there. These are not things we didn't like just suggestions to be helpful.
What a wonderful first few days in Bali at the Taman Puri Sari. Beautiful spot to rest and relax, very quiet, isolated, away from the noise and bustle of other spots in Bali. We had one of the suites down the river, to sit on our patio looking out over a tropical paradise was a joy followed by a cool swim in the pool. Lovely massage in the glass house, a walk in the paddy fields, good food, it was a lovely place to spend a few days. Staff are very friendly. If you want somewhere to relax, then this is the place to go. They do activities but we just spent our days reading, swimming and taking it easy. We will be back.
