Amazing stay here as we did a camping trip overnight in the islands. This host was very kind and the breakfast was such an amazing spread of fresh and delicious fruit. Best breakfast we had in 5 weeks. Bed was comfortable and room was nice!

Would have been nice to have a few board games or the ability to buy beer on premises as it would have made more of a communal aspect. Bad mosquitoes so could do with some burning spirals.

The positive side of this accommodation is that at breakfast they serve a truly enormous amount of fruit, which somewhat improves the overall impression of the stay.

Since there are practically no accommodations in this town that would meet the tastes and expectations of Western guests, it is difficult to write an honest review, as it feels like criticizing one of the few available options. Unfortunately, the truth is that the place is really neglected and that at least some effort could have been made regarding functionality and hygiene. One might try to justify it with authenticity, but the accommodation is simply neglected, without any attempt at even minimal repairs or improvements.

Good spot where to stop by if you want to do the boat tour of the islands. Mentos is a nice guy and can help you arranging what you’d like to do during your staying 😊 The place is simple but has everything you need. Loved the pancakes for breakfast!

We stayed only one night and we had great experience with our kind hosts. The breakfast was delicious and the rooms were clean and comfortable.

Mentos was an awesome host he personally made all the guests I saw over my 3 nights there really welcome . His homestay has tidy rooms, comfortable beds with mozzie net but there were any mozzies. Bathroom was clean , there was a shower . Breakfast delicious fruits and pancake/ omelette . Mentos organised a great tour of the islands gor us and hired me a good quality motorbike . Prices were good . Was my 8 th trip to Indonesia , my 4th to Flores and I really enjoyed Mentos cause he really took an interest in his guests. He and staff were friendly and my daughter loved her kittens.

Mentos was very friendly and accommodating. He organised my boat tour of the 17 Islands National Park. He also organised a shared car for me to travel to Moni. The room was large and comfortable. The wifi was good. The bathroom was large so the shower was not on top of the toilet which is not always the case in Indonesia. For breakfast there was tea/coffee, a large plate of mixed fruit and either an omelette or a pancake

We went to Riung to do the 17 island tour and picked Mentos because of the good reviews and we weren't disappointed. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the family that runs the homestay was super lovely and the breakfast was great. When we arrived in the evening we could immediately arrange the tour for the next morning through Mentos, the owner himself. We enjoyed our stay so much that we even extended it for one more day. Mentos gave us great recommendations for the next day and we rented a scooter through him which was very new and therefore great for driving around the area and exploring remote beaches or visiting the sunset in the evening. Mentos also arranged a shared taxi for us to continue to Ende.

We had a great stay at Mentos Bungalowz and wish we could have stayed longer! The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The shower had good pressure and the terrace was lovely. The property is beautiful with a peaceful garden and feels very secure. The owner is very kind, welcoming and helpful. He helped us with our transport to and from Riung, and arranged a great snorkelling trip for us. He also kindly allowed us some flexibility in the booking when we were unwell, thank you so much! The breakfast was really generous and delicious. Overall a fantastic stay!

Good room with mosquito net, good bathroom, little front balcony. Garden area to sit in, amazing breakfast, friendly staff. Quite easy to meet others in common eating area. Easy walks to the water, and to cafes nearby. (It’s a small, low tourist area - cafes limited, but certainly adequate). Tip: Negotiate on day boat outing costs - if you walk down to the water or check other websites, there are numerous providers. Seeing the islands, snorkelling, bar b Que lunch definitely worth doing). Host is friendly.

Made to feel welcome from the start Very helpful owners will organise any activities .. very comfortable clean rooms and beds.. Convenience store across the road good restaurant 200 meters away with cold beer and good menu..

The apartment is centrally located in Riung, with a beautiful garden. The breakfast is by far the best I’ve had anywhere in Indonesia among all the homestays — in addition to the usual pancake or omelette, you’re served a massive portion of fruit, featuring nearly every seasonal variety available on the island. Moreover, the owner, Mentos, is by far the kindest person I’ve met on this trip. He’s ready to help with anything you might need — he even managed to organize an overnight stay for me on a fishing boat. In short, a true saint
