Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaIt had a great air conditioning sixteen over the bed but I really would face liked fan as well. The air just didn't move. Bathrooms were lovely but very hot.

AustraliaThe rooms lacked essential things to be a 5 star rating. There was not enough light in the room or bathroom. There is no allocated space or furniture to place luggage or sitting inside the room. No TV or phone. Some light switches not working. Shower is cold after 9pm and toiletries need to be packed up after use to avoid attracting monkeys jumping in through opened shower roof. Buffet for breakfast did not include hot found or basic tea and coffee.
Visually architecture and scenery are spectacular. Staff were wonderful and helpful.

United StatesWe were instructed to inform the staff when our room service meal was finished so they could pick up the dishes so as not to bring monkeys onto the property. When we woke up the next morning, the dishes were still outside our door and it appears that the monkeys had gotten to some scraps. The toilet also clogged and no rubbish was placed in the toilet upon flushing. Service was quite slow at breakfast and on the pool deck. The staff were great however I don’t think there were enough staff available to handle the amount of guests.
The architecture was amazing along with the property location in proximity to the beach. The room was very nice and quite comfortable aside from the toilet issue I mention in the next section.

PortugalThe staff are really nice and want to help you out loads but there just aren’t enough of them. Sometimes you couldn’t get served when it was busy or breakfast was a bit hit and miss as to when you got your food or what food was left at the buffet. Same staff just a few more would really improve things
The location and views are stunning.

AustraliaYour price for my room on booking.com far exceeded the price the hotel was offering. I was shocked actually after speaking to front desk
The peacefulness of the property and the opportunity for amazing sunsets, but then you step outside and you are immediately immersed into the busy, social life that the streets of Bali capture so well.

AustraliaDrink and food prices were too high and there wasn't enough water provided to the rooms for a resort such as this in Bali, especially considering we were asked not to bring in food or drinks from outside the resort. Other accommodation we have stayed in give us complimentary water as required. Tuesday Bbq was overpriced.
The view is amazing and pool and car area are a great spot to enjoy the view of Padang Padang from. Great location for eating out.

AustraliaThe villa's are a little pokey as you only have a queen bed & bathroom - no area to store luggage/sit indoors so go a larger room if you can. Some meshing in the roof top of the bathroom would be ideal so you don't have to pack up your toiletries each time due to monkey's jumping in and taking items. And shame you can't just sit & relax the balcony with villla doors open due to the monkey's. To get service by the pool was challenging at times as well - you really have to get the staff's attention to get a drink or order food.
The location is amazing - so central to so much. Lovely quiet grounds & very comfortable bed.

United KingdomMaybe some music in the restaurant in the mornings and a table in our room to work from and more lighting in the room. Otherwise nothing!
Superb location to explore Uluwatu. Staff were personable and assertive. Andre was so good to us! The multiple pools with ocean/surf break views were hard to leave behind. We loved the open air bathroom and local wildlife around the resort - perfect setting for anyone who loves a touch of luxury. The electric scooter bikes are awesome too. This place deserves several days of anyone’s time.

AustraliaSurprisingly the Jurang Villa actually has three bedrooms which are in separate areas in the villa complex. The two smaller double bedrooms are situated lower than the main bedroom building which is on the same level as the pool and outdoor entertaining areas. Both of the smaller rooms are effectively underground, one faces the ocean and the other is located adjacent to the main bedroom. Oddly my daughters were not put in the room with ocean view which seemed like the obvious choice given it wasn't being used. The room my daughters were in had no natural light, unless you had the front door open or had the door to the ensuite open. None of the information or photos we recall when we were looking at the room options at Suarga Padang Padang mentioned the setup of the two smaller bedrooms. For the prices charged, I think that the Jurang Villa is a bit tired looking and things like the mattress covers on the pool side day beds and weather exposed timber all need some attention. The resort doesn't allow any food or drink to be brought in from outside and if they find out you have, they'll charge you a corkage fee on everything. The Uluwatu area is generally way more expensive than the other areas we've stayed at in Bali and is more in line with the upper end of Aussie prices.
Suarga Padang Padang was the third out of four places we stayed at in Bali and was the property we chose to celebrate my wife's 50th birthday. When we first arrived, we were very impressed with the main resort building which overlooks the ocean. A great place to enjoy the welcome drink and take in the view. We stayed in the Jurang Villa which has an ocean view. The private pool, sunken lounge and dining table area as well as the garden were all lovely. The main bedroom was large and well equipped and the ensuite was fantastic. The staff were very helpful in booking the Kecak and Fire Dance at the Uluwatu Temple as well as arranging a birthday cake.

South AfricaI did not check that there was no TV in the rooms - little disappointed - but not too much Western type food should be better prepared. Felt local food little too bland for my linking but still gave it a try.
The bed was extra comfortable and huge. The villa was in a perfect location to the attractions nearby. Did not book an ocean view room, but the view from common areas was exceptional. Very impressed with the self-sustaining aspect of the villa (solar, no plastic, etc. system). Accommodating of luggage outside on check in hours was great. Assistance from staff was great.
