Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

MexicoThe air conditioner wasn´t enough for the room, but it was ok considering that was a little bit cloudy / rainy during my stay. I´ve read some comments regarding the bathroom, it has and open space that allows little bugs and small iguanas to appear in the night, so its an adventure to take a bath in the night :D
Quiet area, pleasant and comfortable during the night. You can hear roosters in the morning, consider that if you are not a morning person. Excellent breakfast and very friendly staff

United States of AmericaAir conditioner could have been stronger. The room was in the upper 70's every night.
First of all, the price for what you are getting unbeatable. We did a LOT of searching in Ubud and finally settled on Suka's House because of the great price and great reviews. I highly doubt you'll find a better place for this price anywhere near Ubud. The staff and family were amazing, and always helpful. The food was very good. We loved having the eggs and banana pancakes served to the front porch table of our bungalow every morning, so we could sit outside and enjoy the beautiful garden while we ate. The pool was a huge hit for the kids and was perfect for cooling down after exploring Ubud all day. As an added bonus, the internet worked really well. I was able to livestream a soccer match while the kids were both watching YouTube with no issues. It is also a very short walk to the center of Ubud but still far enough off the main area that you could find better prices to bargain against with the venders that were right by the house. Also, there were several convenience stores within just a few hundred meters. The closest reliable ATM I found was at the Mandiri ATM, about 10 minutes walk away.

AustraliaLocation is perfect and located in the quiet area of the city centre, not even 10min walking from the centre itself, just perfect. The owner helped us in so many ways and was so welcoming! She helped us plan our trip in Ubud, allowed us to rent her scooter and helped us find a taxi for the next trip. Really, it was a wonderful stay thanks to her and her team Thank you again!

UruguayRooms and bungalows dont have mini bar which is a bit inconvenient due to Ubud’s heat and breakfast is too simple just toasts with eggs OR banana pancake.
Location, cleanliness, bungalows were comfortable and with a beautiful view to the garden that was outstanding.

United KingdomThe bed was a bit hard for me
The location is amazing, right in central Ubud and you can pretty much walk to nearest attractions (even to the monkey forest). The staff are amazing and it was nice to see how the family runs the place. Despite being located in central Ubud, once you step inside it’s quiet and relaxing. The garden area with the pool is beautiful.

United KingdomTo be honest, to put anything here feels a bit unfair and would come down to personal circumstances/preferences.
A good choice for us. We had booked a basic room, but when we arrived we immediately decided that the garden rooms were much preferable. The whole property is generally well maintained, the garden especially. They were fully booked, but we were able to swap (with a couple of changes) so we have stayed in three different rooms altogether. The team at Suka's is friendly and as helpful as can be. It's not the cheapest or most convenient in Ubud, but that's true of 99.99% of places. Equally, it's good value and only 0.5km (600 yards) from the palace, so absolutely ok. Rooms are cleaned daily. AC takes time to cool the room down, but works fine. No fridge in the room, that would be a worthwhile improvement to the facilities. The six garden rooms are bigger, further from the road (so really quiet) have a better ambience, a haven of peace. The cheaper, basic rooms are along the path leading from the road entrance to the garden, so a bit noisier. Not unacceptably so, just not ideal. The pool is small but clean and partially shaded, very welcome. In common with most budget-friendly places the included breakfast is adequate rather than inspired, they will do cheap basic food (e.g. nasi or mie goreng) and there are modestly priced cool drinks available. They can arrange taxis, tours etc. Would we stay here again? Definitely, but would certainly choose a garden room. NB as with most traditional Balinese properties, there are several steepish steps at the threshold and no level access.

Sukas House is a little paradise in the centre of the very busy and sometimes chaotic Ubud. The room was nice and clean. The garden is beautiful and the swimming pool is enjoyable. The wi-fi works well. The staff is amazing, very welcoming and friendly. We spent two weeks there and we loved it.

United KingdomEverything was good. We had a few problems with the air-conditioning. Which wasn't too much of a problem for us. We did get offered another room but liked the one we was in so stayed in that one. But they did offer to change us which was so nice of them.
We had such a lovely stay. Comings and her family and staff are all lovey. They really looked after us. The banana pancakes are amazing. Location is really good. Coming is very helpful and can help sort out everything from washing to day trips ect. Pool and gardens are nice. Room has everything you need. Really enjoyed our stay her and our 6 month old daughter loved it. They were all so good with her and she was so happy. Comings cooking is so good and yummy. Or taxi driver was a family member and was brilliant we used him for day trips and outings. Good location and beautiful people thank you.

United KingdomUnfortunately they gave us a room next to the kitchen, so it was always really loud in the mornings. I wish they would have upgraded us as part of our honeymoon to the nice poolside garden villas. The aircon was a bit too close to the bed. Breakfast portions were a bit too small, especially the pancakes. Naturally there were some bugs and lizards in our bathroom but that's to expect with a semi outdoor bathroom. Everything else was great.
It was a really nice stay. The room was actually really nice and the bed was really comfortable and there was a mosquito net too. Breakfast was really really delicious and fresh. The pool was absolutely lovely, had perfect water temperature and there was sunbeds and sun umbrellas there. The garden was really beautiful too. The staff were friendly and helpful all the time and they cleaned the room on a daily basis. Room was really clean in general. The Bathroom was a semi outdoor bathroom and the water pressure and temperature were good. Location was right in the center of Ubud and you had everything around: restaurants, supermarkets, fire shows, temples etc. Fairly quiet neighborhood away from the hassle of the main street. Very easy to get taxis from there to all attractions nearby.

NetherlandsMaybe change the matras... Ours wasn't really comfortable, but many others seemed very happy, so I think we just weren't lucky and got the less comfortable of all. It's not far from a temple, so sometimes there's music from their ceremony in the evening around 10pm until 11pm which you can hear clearly in the room.
The swimmingpool is good, even though some might say it's small, I think it's just fine and refreshing! The staff is really nice, always cleaning and helping you when needed. The garden is beautiful! It's a good guesthouse juste outside of the big road but only 5 minutes from the big centre of ubud ! You can rent a scooter at the place directly, which helps you to get around easier. We appreciated our stay here !

AustriaWe missed a bar fridge but the major advantage was there were shops within a hundred meters to get cold bottled water and other items until late in the evening.
The room was spacious with a good sized bathroom and a large shower. The pool was great to catch some coolness and the location was fanastic and within short walking distance to shops, restaurants and shows. The staff were friendly and efficient and were very good in organizing activities for us as a family to on. It was exceptionally well priced for us South Africans to have great accomodation in two rooms for far less than what we would pay back home. Thank you for a great three days stay.
