Couldn't rate this place higher! We had a bungalow at the front of the property and it was huge, very clean and the location is just a few minutes walk to the beach. Gili Air was our favourite place on this trip and our biggest regret was not staying longer! We rented bikes which made it easy and fun to get around. Tapada had hot water and the hosts Laura and Amin were exceptional at attending to guests needs. They texted us before we arrived to inform us there would be a special festival/ceremony on the island during our stay which was a really nice touch as this ended up being a highlight of our stay we might not have seen otherwise! Breakfast and welcome drink all freshly made also a winner! Loved it!

One of the best accommodations I've experienced in Indonesia. The beds are incredibly comfortable, the hot water works perfectly, and the place is spotless. The service is truly the best in the world. Highly recommended!

But the host was so welcoming and offered us a welcome drink, did our laundry for a reasonable cost and prepared a lovely breakfast. All the staff is just the best people I met during my whole trip to Indonesia. So kind, joyful, respectful. I will always remember them and keep them in my heart. My partner and I were celebrating our anniversary there and they prepared the bed with a turtle towel decoration, some flowers and a very nice hand-written note for us -and a nice welcome cocktail-. The breakfast was good with fresh fruits and warm food, decent coffee and very good fruit juice. The pancakes were our favorite, btw. The bed was reallt comfortable and the pillows were great! Hot water in the shower and a spaceful room with a nice terrace. It was just amazing! They really made us feel loved and taken care of. I will come back to this place every time I am in Gili Air.

Close to beaches on the east side for snorkelling with turtles and watching the sun rise over Mount Rinjani. Or on the west side, watching the sun set while having a drink and a meal in some of the nice beach bars.

United KingdomI was really pleasantly surprised when I arrived at Tapada, it would have been a bargain at twice the price. The beach is less than 5 minutes walk away. The pizza place (Puglia Mia Pizzeria) over the road is authentic and there a shop over the road too. There are many restaurants within 10 minutes walk. The air conditioning is really efficient. The water pressure is great The bathroom is a large wet room, with plenty of space. There are only 4 rooms, so it is quiet and peaceful. There is no pool, however there is a bar with a free pool round the corner. (Color Cottages) Tapada has everything you need and is the perfect location to explore the island.

United KingdomThe following isn't really a criticism of the place, it's more information for the noise sensitive traveller: the bungalows are between a family home with young children and a house under construction, so during the day there was lots of noise. Nights were quiet until the 4.30am call to prayer (heard all over the island, and the location softens it a bit) and then nearby roosters kick off for the next three hours. Neither of which is Tapada's fault, but I wanted to mention these as they disrupted my sleep - the roosters in particular. I was ready to make them into chicken wings. Also bring bug spray, the mosquitoes are plentiful.
The bungalow was very clean and comfortable. I quite liked the open bathroom space, it added atmosphere and natural light. The location is great: not so close to the beach bars and clubs, or the main street, so it's quiet at night. It's a quick walk in two directions for the beach, and easy access for snorkeling. Plenty of warungs and restos nearby too, though nowhere is far on the island. Didi was a wonderful host who makes an excellent pancake! Having breakfast on the personal patio each morning was lovely. I appreciated the quality of the mosquito net. WiFi was good and consistent. There was a water bottle in the room which was fantastic.

New ZealandSalt water shower. We had to pay (cash only) at the end of our stay, which is odd but not necessarily a bad thing. However for us a bit annoying, we weren't asked to pay or told about when arrived, so figured we already paid online, and then the surprised when checking out. booking heaps of places for only a few nights you easily forget which one you paid upfront. ATM is a wee while away, and don't always work well on the island. Make sure you have enough cash.
Lovely young man running the place,makes you a tasty little breakfast in the morning, bit of bread would have gone well with the yummy omelet ;) Decent size room with Mosquito net Bit inland and therefore quiet at night. Be aware Bathroom outside, didn't bother us though. You can rent a bike right there.

I stayed here for four nights and enjoyed it. It's not a place to meet other travellers, since it's small and with no common areas. I was looking for a cheap solo stay though and it was perfect for that. Big functional room, huge bed, basic outdoor bathroom. Didi, who runs the place together with his parents, made my stay very nice by being very open, helpful, personal and easy to talk to. Very nice to get breakfast served at your own mini balcony! Awesome banana pancakes!! And, Didi gave me fruit that he plucked from their garden and from the tree growing right in front of my little house!
