Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

EgyptSince nature is all around you so there are different kinds of insects and geckos but honestly, the room was always clean and no insects were inside.
The resort is amazing with nature all around you. The location is great and is near to Ubud Center and they offer a free bus shuttle. The staff was very helpful, friendly and responsive. The pools are very nice, the whole resort is very cozy and relaxing. I'll definitely recommend this place! We loved our stay there.

BangladeshThe pool seemed not to be clean. They didn’t have intercom service in my room. Asked to communicate via WhatsApp while it was offline after 12am.
The people working there were helpful. I also enjoyed there breakfast.

AustraliaThe lush gardens had plenty of mosquitoes but the room had a fogging spay and the bed surrounding mosquito nets. The bed needed double power points next to it for phone recharging. Our small “l” cottage didn’t have a TV. Which we didn’t need. The room had only one inside uncomfortable chair but two chairs and table outside.
Friendly competent staff. Well looked after beautiful Ubud gardens. Traditional Ubud style. The shower is open to the sky, next to the marbled bathroom.

AustraliaThe 2 bedroom villa was private and quiet with plenty of room. Bathroom was pretty special. Private pool in tropical garden setting was an enjoyable bonus. The main pool was also lovely after a hot day out in town. Breakfast each day was delicious with a good variety to chose from but couldn't go wrong with the Indonesian breakfast options. Massage was great. Friendly, helpful staff. Will be back!

United States of AmericaAir conditioner in room was not adequate and areas needed to be cleaned. Area was very noisy at night, with constant roosters crowing and traffic noise. There was confusion on ordering breakfast that was included in our stay. No free bottles of water, when area is known to not have safe water.
The room and bathroom were very large, with unique features. The breakfast was good with several selections. The staff were friendly and polite.

ItalyThe bathroom is big, meanwhile the furniture in the entire villa is quite old.
The villas offered by the hotel are very big and comfortable. The stuff was very helpful in booking either the sunrise hiking on Mount Batur and the transfer back and forth Gili Islands.

TurkeyHotel and room is quite close to street, you can hear every sound from the room. Sometimes it was hard to go to sleep. Breakfast was delicious, but it was very limited. Room, pillows, sheets and towels were not clean. There were some stains. The day before our last day, in the morning, we saw some mouse feces in the toilet. Because the bathroom is outside, we didn't care. We went for travelling, we came back late and saw mouse feces again but this time in the room. Call the staff, they cleaned it. Then we tried to sleep again.
It is very close to Campuhan Ridge Walk. There are some decent restaurants nearby. You can walk to Ubud Center but they offer 7/24 shuttle service from Ubud Palace. Staff were amazing and kind. Resort area is quite interesting, public pool is decent.

United KingdomNot really a criticism of the villa but the centre of Ubud is crazy busy with traffic - walking around isn’t very relaxing as there aren’t really sidewalks in most places

AustraliaThe facilities are very old and not clean, like the toilet and shower place. Since the toilet is outdoor, I would like to lock it at night or when I went out, but it is very hard to unlock it later, had to ask for help twice, and then just leave it unlock since then. Quite noisy, especially that area is noisy in the morning, can clearly hear the roasters continuously singing from the early morning.
The admin and staff are very friendly. The breakfast is nice. They provide free shuttle between hotel and ubud town center which is really convenient since the traffic there is pretty bad, hard and dangerous to walk due to the narrow road and crazy motorbikes and cars, and even harder to get cars. Super close to a good yoga center, been there twice during my stay.

SpainEverything was fine except one particular thing related to the villa next to ours. There was a family a bit noisy and we hear them as they were in our room.
The villa has 2 floors and this was a nice experience for a us because we are a family with 2 children. The food and the staff were very attentive and kind. We also used the swimming pool and spa and it was a pleasant experience. Lastly, very good value for the money

We loved staying at The Sungu! We had de villa with private pool and this was fantastic. Personnel is very friendly and helpful (also with organizing tours and arranging taxi to city centre), breakfast is very good and location is just outside the city center (so much more quiet than the center and still close by).
