Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

New ZealandA little more shelter from the sun over the pool/around the pool area would be ideal.
The location is fantastic, lots of great restaurants close-by and the monkey sanctuary as well. We loved watching the monkeys in the hotel grounds from our rooms and the staff with their monkey slingshots were hilarious. We only ended up having breakfast once of the 4 mornings we were there due to activities planned early in the day before hotel breakfast started. But the one breakfast we did have was good.

Location was fabulous - close enough to everything but far enough away that it was quiet. Staff are brilliant - very friendly and happy to help. Rooms, while basic, were clean and comfortable.

United KingdomIf I was being picky, toilet felt a bit unstable and bathroom flooded when used the shower. Aircon also blows directly into face which was a bit annoying. Otherwise great stay.
Hotel very nice, location is excellent and cool to see some monkeys around the hotel. Staff were nice and breakfast was good.

AustraliaNothing ticked me off, however, the breakfast could be a bit larger. I had omelet and I was still hungry. Looking at tables next to me, it seemed like the scrambled eggs would be more filling though…
Good overall… Location is pretty good, even though the fact that cars can’t get to the door make u have to sling you luggage down a little slope that is inconvenient.

United KingdomNothing realy. Though 3 nights was enough as the monkeys thieving can become an irritant. I wouldn't recommend this property if you are scared of monkeys!
Lovely little hotel with nice pool and friendly staff. It backs right onto the monkey forest, so plenty of interaction with the monkeys!

AustraliaThere was one night when the hotel kitchen wasn't open - which we only found out about on the evening. However, as there are plenty of alternatives in that area, it wasn't so much of an issue (and it was only an issue because of the family member with reduced mobility - otherwise the alternative choices would have been even larger)
I was travelling with a family member with reduced mobility. The staff at the hotel went above and beyond to assist in any way they could - from ensuring that family member had a ground floor room (of which there were not many available), to rushing to assist anytime they saw us navigating the few steps in the hotel. In addition to this, the hotel was clean, well maintained, with a lovely pool. Great value for money

VietnamOnly 3 electrical outlets in my room, only 1 in a convenient spot. I made due. It’s an older hotel so that’s always a bit difficult to chase up
The monkeys, dude got to see so many monkeys. You could save an extra 100k at monkey forest and just hang out and watch the monkeys wander by. They did poo on my balcony, but whatever.

United States of AmericaThough my stay was perfect for me. As a note, it was a bit noisy at all hours. The road down to the bungalows can really only be accessed by bike and there is a small side road that connects right outside the hotel. So all day and most part of the night you hear honking from that bike path. Then in the morning (I was placed over the breakfast room) it also was a bit noisy. But that's not in the staffs control, just mentioning as a precaution for light sleepers. I loved the deck and hanging rack, but it almost deems useless since you can't leave your things unattended because of the monkeys.
The inside of the hotel is an absolute paradise, for it only being down the street from a busy street. I was put in a room with a king size bed and a beautiful overlook of the lush pool area. The bed was firm, which didn't bother me and the pillows were fair. The room was quite big and the AC sat right next to the bed up by the ceiling, and worked very well. The shower was large and the hot water worked great. They provide two soft towels as well as two bottle waters for your convenience. The pool was open to swim all night I believe. I took a few late night swims which was true luxury, but there is no lighting in the pool just to let you know. My rate had breakfast included, which was decent, simple, but the servers were always friendly and for the price I can't believe I even got breakfast. An egg, some juice and coffee is a good way to start a day. It is located right next to the Monkey forest so if you walk out right you will run right into it. This means there were a few monkeys on property. I didn't see many of them and weren't a nuisance, at all like some of the other comments, but if you're afraid of monkeys avoid that area and avoid eye contract. It was a very nice stay for the two days I was in Ubud. Great location for shops to the left, a convenience store across the street and about a 40 minute walk to the fire dancing show and more shops and markets.

United KingdomThere were lizards in the bathroom (very small and hard to avoid in Bali, I know!) but having windows that fully shut/stopped lizards getting in would be better!
Lovely spacious room. Given fresh bottles of water every day when the room was cleaned! In a good location in Ubud (as long as you like monkeys!).

IndiaThe bathroom clogged quite easily.
Amazing location, close to both the monkey forest and the ubud markets. Lots of food places of different cuisines around the area. The breakfast at the location was complimentary and delicious that included one tea or coffee drink, one juice, and a main (per person). Really cool if you like seeing monkeys up close from the safety of your accomodation as the accomodation is next to the monkey forest and you can see them from inside your room or see them hanging out around the pool area. The staff is quite alert about the monkey and so they do shoo them away if they seem like they will come close.
