AustraliaThis is a beautifully restored country house in a quiet country setting with lots of walks around the area yet still close enough to Enniscorthy and other local attractions. The two very large adult bedrooms come with very comfortable king size beds along with two other rooms with single beds. The house is warm and cosy and has a big fireplace with all the wood you need. The host makes sure that everything is perfect and makes himself available if needed. We really appreciated the fresh, local apple pie. Very yummy. The internet is quite fast at around 60 mb/s although we had a couple of outages- one for two hours and the other for about 30 minutes (probably caused by line maintenance). The TV is a large LG unit with access to Disney, Netflix, etc. This farm house has excellent appliances that are well maintained and includes good quality furnishings. The kitchen is very functional as is the laundry. This place would be hard to beat.

Quaint and picturesque town on the pleasant river Slaney steeped in Irish History. Enniscorthy was the scene of the 1798 rebellion where the united Irishmen took their last stand on the summit of Vinegar hill overlooking the town. The Castle and the 1798 visitors centre are worth a visit if you are interested in history as is the Father Murphy centre at Boolavogue. Enniscorthy is a pleasant, old town.
Enniscorthy is a pleasant, old town. But there are limited things to do and see there. Vinegar Hill is an interesting historical location and offers a pleasant view of the area, but this takes only an hour or two to experience. The town is run down with many delapidated buildings. Not enough shops and restaurants in the town to even spend a day - overall not a destination. Very steep streets so unpleasant trying to get around with a pram.
