Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomTV only had 4 x C4 channels, and with poor weather outside it didn't make it an enjoyable night in the room. Only a small amount of loo roll and the curtains didn't close fully.
Lovely comfortable bed, large room with plenty of space.

IrelandSo hot!!! There was no air conditioning and the window wouldnt stay open. I adjusted the radiator but this did nit help. It was so hot in the room I checked out early just to breath some air. This was in December too when it was cold outside.
Size of the room, cleanliness, staff member that greeted me at reception was lovely.

IrelandParking area is enough for 2 cars and we got the parking in front but outsiders are parking infront inside the butlers town house area so it's very difficult to get the car out .we had such experience.
Nice and comfortable stay in the centre of the city and it is worth.

United KingdomSleeping in canopy bed is an experience, but the mattress could be changed... it's very Old and literally you sleep in the hole someone left before you.
Beautiful place! It's like sleeping back in history. Very clean, in great location.

IrelandCheck out is at 10 (too early). Strangely, there were no towels in my room at all when I arrived... I called the number given and the 2nd time, someone answered and very quickly a staff member was at my room with towels - however, no bath towels, just lots of hand towels - apparently, there was a problem with bigger towels (it was OK, sometimes strange things happen)! The TV was a bit strange in that the channels were kind of inconsistent. When I tried the balcony door in the drawing room just before check out, it was locked - shame as it would be nice to sit out there and appreciate it. Heating - before check in a message was sent giving instructions about checking in and one section was about heating... unfortunately, when I tried to use the air con system (remote control), as instructed, there was no response (dead), I even changed batteries (using the TV's), but still no response. As it wasn't too cold a night (even though Feb in Ireland), I didn't bother mentioning it, but I do think things like this shouldn't be missed (esp if you advise about it in a message)...
First impression is that the place is absolutely gorgeous - from the moment you walk in you're greeted by this spacious and opulent drawing room to the right and on arrival in the room, this sense of luxury continues - the room was very spacious with a big bed and lovely surroundings...typical old Georgian buildings in Dublin. There were good tea and coffee-making facilities. My room did have a street view (which I had asked for). The bathroom had a bath (which I was happy to use). The location is very close to AVIVA stadium (soccer, rugby) and close to Lansdowne Road DART (coastal train) station in a very nice part of the city (south). I liked that the place is self check-in as it is not actually necessary to have staff hanging around all the time (but it is important, of course, that someone is readily available should problems arise)... I would gladly stay here again.

IrelandCheck in instructions were not provided before my arrival so it was a bit nervous as there is no reception. There is no possibility to store your luggage.
The location is great-close to Aviva stadium, nice restaurants and coffee shops and also Dublin City centre is easily accessible by pub transport. The bed was very comfortable and room was spacious.

UkraineThe room was very small, but it’s not really a minus, I guess it’s like that everywhere. Nevertheless, the bathroom was pretty big.
The rooms were very clean and stylish, the bed was very comfortable. There’s a coffee machine in the room, some water, so it was nice to have coffee in the morning. Also, the train station is very close to the hotel.
