Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.

Our skylight leaked, not a big deal.
This was our second time staying at the hotel and it was just as nice as several years ago. The location is superb, being close to a very affordable public parking lot and restaurants/pubs.

We had a 3 person (2 bed) room - was a bit cramped and lighting could have been a bit better. Next time I would instead get 2 rooms.
Very nice breakfast in hotel. Front desk staff very nice and helpful. Great location in Killarney - can walk to anything.

Doors were very loud to close/open. Shower had one of those glass doors that never really shields the floor from getting wet. While the hotel was generally very clean, the toilet brush in our room was disgusting.
The hotel was in a great location. Dog-friendly hotel. Breakfast was good (though we'd love more savory vegetarian options)

Despite being in Killarney Town, was disappointed upon return to hotel at 10 45 that the bar was closed.

My Brother booked this hotel as it is dog friendly. He had stayed there previously. A really small gripe. There was no designated outdoor area for the dogs toilet. You had to walk outdoors to find a small patch of grass for the dog to relieve himself.. The addition of even a tiny area of grass maybe bordering the set down area would be fantastic.
Location was fantastic. The staff were outstanding and the place was immaculate.

Wish we had access to a gym or ice machine on our own. We would have also liked to have a refrigerator in the room.
Our room had enough beds for all of us. The breakfast was delicious, and the hotel location was great.

First night there was restless due to arguing in room next to us. My wife and two children were sleepless from 2.30am onwards. Not the hotels fault however didn't seem to be any porter or security on to deal with the situation. Signs all over the hotel saying quiet time from 8pm-8am

The Fairview was just what we needed for our overnight stay in Killarney, a great stopping point whilst travelling South from Galway. The breakfast was another highlight, we really enjoyed our Winter tour.

Check in not until 4pm??? We did email the hotel directly a couple of weeks prior to see if it would be possible to check in early, however, we received no reply to the request. No water in the room??? This first thing I had to do was pop around the corner to a shop and buy 2 bottles of water for the room. (Is this no longer a basic standard in a hotel???) Mini fridge in the room but was empty??? We were offered an upgrade to the penthouse for an additional €70 but I don’t think it was worth it. Room was dark and some improvements and updating is needed. Some repairs are needed to couple of areas ( plasterwork underneath vent in room and over light switch of the bathroom) Stairwell from penthouse to downstairs seemed littered with excess items that ideally should be stored elsewhere
Great location. Close to plenty of bars/restaurants. High standard of cleanliness throughout the hotel was very clear. Bathroom facilities very good with Elemis toiletries available. Good customer service in general, with friendly check in and breakfast staff very pleasant, however, check out is 11am and there was no one at reception to check out with. Sign on the desk to go to the restaurant???
